Plenty of wine to taste and a great stop for lunch (with plenty of options to choose from) - we had Mexican and snuck in a Margarita 😁. Fruit/veg market and final photo opportunity at Golden Gate Bridge were lovely ‘extras’ to end the day. Alcatraz was a return visit, and the only change/missing ingredient was that they didn't point out out Al Capone's cell (#181 on Michigan Avenue).
Muir Woods was enchanting!
Robert (our guide/driver) was perfect. He was interesting, funny, and engaging.
The voyage offered breathtaking views, and the woods were magical. Every where we looked was another potential Kodak moment. - Deborah B1 contributionThe Alcatraz tour was amazing. Ferry Boat was operated well, clean and well organized. Alcatraz is an incredible piece of American history even if not a source of American pride. Audio tour is very well done. Seeing birds as part of island bird sanctuary is also worthwhile. I would rate this as 5 stars. The reason I rated 4 stars is because the bay cruise information was confusing. I don’t think these should be offered in tandem because they really are not. The bay cruise boat is not as well maintained and the windows in cabin were so dirty/filmy it was hard to see through them. There is clear and informative narration but can’t hear it when outside on the deck, but if inside was hard to see. Timing of fitting both tours in was confusing. - RondaPocatello, Idaho, USA21 contributionsBrendan was a FABULOUS tour guide! We laughed so hard. Go on this tour!! You will love it! He told us so much stuff about San Francisco. I cannot say enough great things about this tour. Muir Woods is amazing! Alcatraz was super cool. But it was all the in-between stuff he told us and showed us that just set this tour apart. He truly loves his city and he loves sharing it with all us tourists! You will be so glad you took this tour, and you won't truly see San Francisco if you don't do it. You will be amazed by this city and fall in love with it! Bantering back and forth with Brendan was the best part, and all the crazy stuff he knows will blow you away! My friends and I are still talking about how much fun we had and all that we learned. With only 8 people in the van, and oldies music in the background, we had a personalized experience. It was fun to see tourists taking quick pictures as we drove by, with at least one of us flashing a peace sign!
