Interesting drive-through probably overall half hour stop there are some parking spots that you can get out and do some walking. It’s a free activity so if you have a little time to kill, hug, recommend it.

I drove from Hanauma Bay up the windward side of the island of Oahu passing Makapu'u Point and continued on the Kamehameha Hwy up and around to the North Shore. Many beautiful points along the way including when passing by Kane'ohe Bay. I found a nice viewpoint near Kahaluu Beach providing terrific views of the bay and of the Ko'olau Mountains across the bay which form the backdrop at Kualoa Regional Park.

Of all the things we did on our trip to Oahu this past week, this was absolutely our favorite! My husband surprised me with this little side trip and it was amazing. The information given about growing cacao was fascinating. Michael and Maria were so welcoming and willing to share information. Getting to know them and their backgrounds made us respect them even more in changing careers and building this farm and business. We attempted the goat yoga and enjoyed spending time with the goats. Such little personalities! The chocolate tasting was delicious and the food was fantastic! They were very accommodating to my food intolerances so I could enjoy it all. We purchased many chocolate bars (diary free!!!!!) and treats to bring home. Can't wait to return on our next trip there.

This is for the Boat Harbor. He’eia.

Very casual “harbor” for public launching of your boat/kayak and catch private small boat departures. Small snack bar for food and drink basics and a decent hot lunch menu. Six picnic tables to sit down and enjoy your food or just rest with a drink or an ice cream !

We found Friendship Garden through an online search for "things to do near me," and we're very glad that we got to experience hiking here.

The trail is easy to moderate if you stay in the Garden, but there are connections to trails outside the Garden that have challenging sections.

This site is accessed through a residential street with limited parking. There are warnings that cars will be towed if parked improperly.

Friendship Garden was not very crowded during our visit, and we enjoyed looking at the beautiful views. We took many photos of the lush tropical plants.

This hike takes you to a fantastic piece of history that overlooks the east side of Oahu. It is a short hike in terms of distance, but there is a lot of elevation gain from the start to finishing back at the trailhead (230 metres). There are some very steep portions and I would not recommend tackling the hike in wet weather. About a 75 minute duration in total for an average hiker. You can park your car at McDonalds or at the mall and just walk back on the highway keeping on the side of the road. You will see signs indicating private property, but no worries. Definitely an undulating trail. The views at the top are spectacular and worth the effort. I wouldn't take small kids. Take some water.

Great mall with a little bit of everything for everyone, still incorporating some of the major chain stores(Macy's & ,Ross's) mixed in with a great selection of local businesses. There is also a super selection of food places to choose from and if you are into shopping or eating, there's also a theater in the mall. Check it Out!

We were driving around, trying to find a state park that I had happened upon years ago, and couldn't find it. I kept going though thinking that perhaps it would appear out of nowhere, but that didn't happen. So I called my sister-in-law and she suggested that I try senator fongs plantation and garden. So I googled it and joey drove. It was just a stroke of luck that the gate was open and an event had just finished, so we could drive in and see the structure and a tiny glimpse of the gardens. A very nice woman walked up to us and asked if she could help us, and then told us that the plantation was no longer open to the public – only for privately booked events, but we could look around quickly before they locked the gate again. Which we did!

What a great variety of foods to try. Fresh fruits, pastries, Korean BBQ and so much more. We’ll be going back here for more fresh fruit and veggies.
