- Mike HPhoenix, AZ2,077 contributionsWE were on our way to the hotel after visiting Iao Park. We decide to stap and see what this was like. It turns out that the church was named after Queen Ka'ahumanu when it was built in 1876. It is a large church and there is a lot of history in it so you can learn that the queen was an early Christian.Written February 26, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TimeTravelerAdventuresLake Forest, CA225 contributionsThis is one of the many religious (temple) areas throughout Hawaii. Many like this one are on the top of a hill with a 360 degree view of the surrounding area, often close to the water. The hike up the hill from the street below is about 1,000 feet and reasonably steep. Not difficult, but not for anyone with mobility problems.Written March 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
