We found great results, but some are outside Lahaina. Showing results in neighboring cities.

Clean, easy access to water (no rocks or coral), great waves in-season, whale and turtle watching from the beach, great, wide beaches full of soft sand, lots of great dining choices within walking distance...what...
One of the most stunning beaches on Maui, Ka'anapali Beach is great for swimming, whale watching, snorkeling, sun-bathing, surfing, paddle-boarding and pretty much anything else you can imagine.

Napili Beach
#45 of 159 Outdoor Activities in Lahaina
Just 5 minutes north is the elegant and exclusive Kapalua with it's world class golf courses, upscale hotels, dining, shopping and incredible beaches!
Back to the beach, if you want something quiet yet fun go to this beach plus there are 3 other beaches that are walking distance across a boardwalk with great surfing waves and a cove with tons of turtles.
Kahekili Beach Park
#48 of 159 Outdoor Activities in Lahaina
We have snorkeled on most of the Maui beaches and Kahekili is among the best of those that are easily accessible.
One of the biggest beaches I've seen !! Calm and peaceful and ideal for kids (my daughter who was 14 lovvvvved it )

There are three different areas you can park, but as with most public beaches in Maui it does go quick so be prepared to drop off some of the family and park further out.

Slaughterhouse Beach
#65 of 159 Outdoor Activities in Lahaina
One of our favorite beaches we've visited on Maui the past 2 weeks.
Another advantage to staying near Kapalua is the great beaches nearby.
Baby Beach Paia 1.0 km away

This is one of my favorite beaches to take my Grandson too, they have small pools of sea water for the young ones, and outside the sandbar, nice waves for the teens and Dads.
Beautiful like all Maui beaches but exceptional for children
Honokowai Beach Park
#75 of 159 Outdoor Activities in Lahaina
A play area for the kids, sandy beach, reefs right offshore that invite fishing and playing in the gentle surf, and plenty of trees that offer shade from the sun.
Nice beach, small waves, but the real gem are the turtles you can find here every day.
Hanakao'o Beach Park
#89 of 159 Outdoor Activities in Lahaina
It's our family's quest to visit and experience as many beaches as we can, on our vacation to maui, as we can.
We have given up trying to "rank" the beaches on our visit; in that there are so many gems on Maui (and all the islands).

The Spa at Black Rock Maui, HI 5.7 km away
#187 of 509 Outdoor Activities in Maui
This huge black lava mound pretty much separates Ka'anapali Beach from the other beaches further down and it also forms a shelter against some pretty active wave sets that the rest of the beach experiences.
Black Rock is a stretch of volcanic rock that juts out into the ocean from the beaches.
