Princeville Botanical Gardens
#1 of 6 Nature & Parks in Princeville
The beauty of nature, total alignment with nature, preservation of native species, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides, peace and tranquility are some of the reasons I rate it so highly and recommend it without...
He did a great job with informing us about the history of the garden as well as the unique nature of the plants.

Pali Ke Kua Beach (Hideaway s Beach)
#2 of 6 Nature & Parks in Princeville
... cream was a nice stopover on the way back from Waimea canyon (1.5 hours from Princeville) where a little trek around the nature trail just after milestone 8.5 was just enough to keep the kids and parents happy.
This was great because we were able to complimentary Valet park at the hotel and then a very short walk out of the driveway to Hideaways.
Hanalei Beach Hanalei 2.5 km away

The beach has lovely golden sand, and the park itself has some picnic tables, a few shade trees, and the usual contingent of chickens and doves, with the added bonus of Pacific Golden Plovers.
The surf is too rough in December and January for swimming and body surfing, but there are the beach parks, the pier and kayaking on the nearby Hanalei River.

If you get the chance take a helicopter ride to see the whole Island including the spectacular waterfalls, places where Jurassic Park and Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed.
It's quiet and a place to relax with a picnic and enjoy nature.

OK: Awesome is an over-used expression, but when you see the power of nature in action, that inspires awe.
Awesome way to experience the power of mother nature, especially in winter.
Anini Beach Kauai, HI 3.0 km away
#32 of 124 Nature & Parks in Kauai
An unassuming lovely beach and beach park that is relatively quiet and adequately set up with basic facilities to support a great day out to the beach!
But excellent for everything else! Large beach park, calm water as a result of the sand bar, excellent for snorkeling and child safety (still the ocean but..).

Secret Beach Kauai, HI 5.9 km away

A beautiful house also near where you park that is stunning.
After you park your car, park yourself away from the water's edge and enjoy!
Tunnels Beach Kauai, HI 5.9 km away
#23 of 124 Nature & Parks in Kauai
Over the course of six days I was able to snorkel shore-accessible Kauai reefs and rocks at Salt Ponds State Park, Poipu Beach Park, Larsen's Beach, Anini Beach, and Haena (Tunnels) Beach.
The parking lot fills up fast as it is used for the Haena Beach, and many hikers who do the 22 miles round trip hike to Kalalau Valley park here as well.

Runs everyday (except Thanksgiving, Christmas, NYs Day) from multiple spots on the north shore (about every 1 hr 15 minutes) and drops off inside Ke'e park.
There is a perfect nature protection.

Queen's Bath
#5 of 6 Nature & Parks in Princeville
It is a natural water in-let with view above on calm day amazing...I couple this attraction with many in Kauai, as a witness to natural phenomenon from nature and worth experiencing at least once!
Couple of things to keep in mind is the short trail that leads to the Queen's bath is muddy and is of moderate difficulty level, also the parking spots at the trail head are very limited and you cant park anywhere...
Lumahai Beach Kauai, HI 5.6 km away

Fun shaded area where you can park.
The whole beach is like a natural water park.

As you pull in to park expect to be greeted by NeNe (geese) - then wander about and read about shear waters, albatross, frigate, seagulls and more then chance spotting your favorite!
If you are a walker and up for 20 minutes uphill trek, park your car in front of Seacliffs gate (on the right 1/4 mile before lighthouse gate), walk thru the unlocked gate on the right (public access walking path,...

You park your vehicle under a line of fir trees, so there is lots of shade available.
Very nice park.
Ha'ena State Park Kauai, HI 5.9 km away
#58 of 124 Nature & Parks in Kauai
We visited Ke'e beach at Ha'ena State Park on several occasions during our stay in Kauai; the sunsets there are amazing!
Our directions said to "keep going until you cross the stream" and it's true - the highway ends just a short way beyond this beach park and that can make parking a challenge so you might have to walk a bit.
Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens Kilauea 9.8 km away
#2 of 8 Nature & Parks in Kilauea
We are gardeners; so maybe our hearts appreciate this magical place and the work it do doubt took to bring it all together; but the combination of whimsy and nature combine to make this a most memorable place.
With acres of different kinds of gardens and a sculpture park there is plenty to see.
Limahuli Garden and Preserve Hanalei 10.5 km away

For $20/ person, you get a great tour book with stories and information and a trail that allows you to get lost in nature with breathtaking vistas.
Further into the park the path takes you through several different Hawaiian ecosystems containing natural plants as well as some introduced ones which have become invasive.
Wyllie's Beach Kilauea 3.8 km away

Review is for the far west end of Anini, which is much closer to Wyllie than Anini Beach Park and so seems to belong here.
Na Pali Coast State Park Wainiha 12.7 km away

Viewing the spectacular cliffs from the water in fast, comfortable boats afforded us a perspective on this natural monument that was a perfect compliment to our earlier hikes thru the park.
Go early and park before the crowds and walk into Hanacapia Valley ... if energy allows walk to the Falls and enjoy the peaceful yet energetic huge beautiful Falls !

You cand try and park right at the mouth of the trail up by Ke'e beach but slim chances- theres a larger lot a little further away and you just walk up more- but this lot also gets extremely full extremely fast!
