rocks and water, what’s not to love. shady tree root trail next to the water, can get down to the water and see the waves eroding the rocks and there’s a thunder hole right by the car park where a circular cave is being formed and water comes in and thunders. great views, feels wild

If you have children or grand kids this is a must attraction for all ! Basically it's a farm setting and children's zoo all in one. My kids love feeding the baby goats with the milk bottle you get on entry . Be sure you get there WAY BEFORE NOON as they usually cut the bottle feedings at noon so the goats aren't over fed. Tip: Family should split up on entry 5 minutes apart so you can get extra milk ticket ! Thank me later ! We normally don't buy the dry goat food as goats will jump on kids the minute they spot the milk bottle in their hand ! Make sure you got your phone camera ready and charged .as the action is fast and furious ! The goats will drain that little milk bottle in a heart beat ! There are chicken coops, Brahma bulls with baby, bull, baby kittens, and assortment of other friendly animals kids can pet. They even have a milking table where they let kids milk a mama goat to get milk for the bottles !

Truly a great experience. We tasted various wines/ciders at their extensive bar (they had a 2-sided sheet with possibilities to taste) along with different types of fudge and salsa.

I was very impressed with the Door County Maritime Museum. When you get in, you are grouped with about 10 others and start out on the 1st floor of the tower to watch a movie which gives you an overview of the museum, history, etc. Then you board an elevator which takes you to the 10th floor and the Observatory. The observatory has beautiful views of the harbor and surrounding area. The 10th floor has information on what you are looking at from each view through a touch screen map - this was very well done. It is expected that you will be about 20 minutes at each level, and then move yourself by the stairs downward to each floor (2 floors were not open.) Each floor has a theme such a navigation, shipwrecks etc. Each floor was very well done. The main floor also had 2 huge exhibits about Door County maritime, boats, etc. Both rooms were very extensive and overwhelming but for those who are interested, very educational. We were there about 3 hours and it was definitely worth it.

Outstanding museum for those who enjoy nature and historical artifacts. The diorama at the entrance was truly stunning! The display of the animals and birds was masterfully presented. The rest of the museum had old artifacts and were extremely well displayed. If you like museums then don't miss this one.
There is no charge but a five dollar donation is asked. Best five bucks I ever spent!!!!

Our favorite winery. Real wine .. not syrup. Free wine tasting with order. Cherry wine especially excellent this year. Awesome reds.

Great small town farmers market. Slow to start this year with virus and all but still worthwhile visiting. Summer tradition in Door V Co punts and brings lots of vendors; arts and crafts, furniture, cheese and lots of produce. And people! Great brats available for the whole family along with fresh kettle corn, baked goods and fruit crepes. The best Crab Rangoon and egg rolls are a hit, too. And painted rocks that are quite clever and unique. Pets always welcome!

TAP started as a quirky little theatre group that worked out of, well let's face it- the old storage area in the back of an old movie theatre. The facility was primitive but the productions were always first rate. They have now managed to move into a brand new intimate theatre on the foot print of the original theatre. Intimate setting, brand new theatre, and with expectations that 1st rate productions will continue!

We stopped in the last week of March, on our way up to Fishcreek, WI.
There was no one on staff, but there was a wealth of printed information from which to choose.
The restrooms were also very clean and well-maintained.
This was a great introduction, on our first visit to Door County.

In all our visits to Door County and Sturgeon Bay, we never knew this place existed. We’re glad we found it. Very unique glasswork at reasonable (ish) prices. The staff person that day - who moved from Cleveland to Sturgeon Bay - was enjoyable, helpful and genuinely seemed to enjoy her work.

I recently tried out Starboard Brewing in downtown Sturgeon Bay on my recent trip to Door County, and I enjoyed myself! It was a Saturday evening, but early enough that I still felt like doing something before heading to the hotel for the night (7:30-ish). I was surprised to walk in and find NO ONE else there at that time on a Saturday evening, but the young girl working was pleasant and friendly. I don't remember which varieties I tried exactly, but I tried 2 different glasses of beer and enjoyed both kinds. It was a beautiful evening, so I opted to sit outside at one of the sidewalk tables, and this was great for some people-watching, too! They offered a free small dish of pretzels with the first beer, which was a nice touch. After I was there for a little while, there were more people trickling in, and then about 10-12 people were suddenly inside, so it took a few minutes to get my 2nd beer. I again opted to sit outside, so it was nice to just be able to leave and walk off when I was finished since I had paid already. I enjoyed my time here, and this is another fun brewery to check out in Sturgeon Bay/Door County!

I liked that they gave you your five tastings in a flight that you could enjoy at your leisure. I liked several of the wines I sampled. The setting was not as enjoyable as some since you are by a busy highway.
