What travelers are saying
- Wendy KBaldwin, WI677 contributionsWe stopped here on our way to Door County. Amazing views, walking trails but those trails are through the woods so make sure you have proper footwear and ready to walk over fallen trees etc…. Beautiful place and all for free!Written October 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HonestK1610South Bend, IN124 contributionsGlad we visited this museum. The experience starts with an interesting video then an elevator ride to near the top of the old lighthouse. We enjoyed the views from the tenth-floor outdoor observation deck. Each floor on the way back down is dedicated to a specific aspect of maritime history. A little exercise for body and mind.Written August 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Teryn AndersonCedar Rapids, IA16 contributionsHighly recommend for families with children! It’s a fun little stop that will take about an hour (or more if you choose) of your time! The animals are well loved and taken care of. We had a great time feeding the goats and petting the variety of animals.Written October 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jennifer H2 contributionsWe stopped at Simon Creek on our way out of Door County and wish it would have been our first stop on the way in. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and made you feel like family. The owner was also present and took the time to talk to us. The overall experience was excellent and the wines were great too! I convinced my family to stop and they were hesitant after having a horrible experience at Stones Throw. We’re all glad we stopped and walked away with lots of wine because we were happy to support an amazing business and their great employees. We highly recommend this place and it should be one everyone’s list of stops!Written May 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JASOwatonna41 contributionsLong time friends & I stopped here by chance. (We were actually enroute to a different winery). We loved it at Door Peninsula Winery! Who could beat free tastings! Great selection of wines & also other items such as fudge, oils, etc. There is also a distillery. Large outdoor patio as well. The staff was also fun & friendly.

- mreidphx88 contributionsThis lighthouse is located at the U.S. Coast Guard station. You can park your car in the dirt lot outside of the station. There are many warning signs which can make you wonder if you are even allowed to visit! Just park and stay on the walkway. =)
You can walk on the lower level of the concrete pier to see the lighthouse up close. The end of the pier can be very windy and may get slippery... so wear shoes with traction. The beautiful red lighthouse is worth a short visit.Written October 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
