This is a must-see on your trip. So informative and interesting--you will need more than one day, especially if it is very warm outside. I recommend the 7-day ticket that allows you to visit Yorktown, Colonial Williamsburg, and Jamestown Settlement for the entire week. We went to Colonial Williamsburg three times and Jamestown twice. This really allows you to enjoy the exhibits and tours without rushing through. With this ticket (or a one-day pass, if you choose ) you have acces to tours of the Palace, Capitol, Courthouse, and numerous other buildings. That was definitely more interesting than what is open to the public for free. Regardless of which you choose, there is a free shuttle at the Visitor's Center, which helps limit the amount of walking you will do, There is a lot of walking but it's worth it.

Both the outside and inside exhibits are really interesting. Two of the three ships were open for tours and the crew were very infomative. The indoor exhibits are quite extensive, including several films. On our last day, the interpreters from the outdoor exhbits came indoors due to a storm and set up shop in the hall, where we learned about knots and games and other things! There is dining and shopping available, as well. Definitely make time for this stop, We used the 7-day Triangle Pass and split our visit over 2 days,

This was very well done and I highly recommend it. I didn’t expect the expansive traditional museum/exhibits on site to give info on the living history piece you then see after. The living history and ships aren’t huge, but well done.

Fun ride across the James River. Beautiful views. Got to see pretty wildlife and the water side of the Jamestown Settlement.

We had a good tour guide who answered all questions regarding the history of the governors, the interior decorations, and interesting stories. The interior display of swords and guns were impressive. We also enjoyed strolling the numerous garden spaces outside. We did the first tour of the day and had a small crowd, giving the best experience. It was a little difficult to keep young kids engaged during the tour.

We had lots of fun here. Pantheon was our favorite rollercoaster! Parking was simple (but expensive) and lines moved quickly, for the most part. There is limited dining available but prices were fairly reasonable (for an amusement park). Worth the price of the ticket.

We ranged from 70 to 4 years old. There is something for everyone. The water rides were fantastic. We rented a cabana for the family, and I'd recommend it. What a great day!

Highly trained and experienced artisans make glass by hand. You can get right up to the furnace and feel the heat. This was how glass was made for centuries, but not any more in production. Even if you've seen glass demonstration before, this one is worth the visit because the remnants of the 1608 trial of glass is nearby.

I would highly recommend going to the visitor center to coordinate your visit to Colonial Williamsburg. The grounds are very pretty and the scenes are amazing and informational.

This is a fantastic museum. You will need at least a couple of hours or plan to come several times to see the vast displays of art from around the country. Clean, comfortable and safe. It was a wonderful visit.

Always enjoy the Easter service here. Beautiful setting and wonderful clergy. You can visit the church during non service hours as well.

If you like wines, this is the place to go. We had a great barista who is a high school science teacher working the summer for income. The wine list for tasting is varied and unique in many ways with types that are not commonly found. We relaxed under the pavilions with a soothing breeze and sampled two flights of wine--ended up buying 5 bottles. I could have sat the entire afternoon.

We happen to be passing just as 2022 Commencement Exercises were concluding. A sea of Caps and Gowns. Smiling faces all satisfied with their achievements. Glowing parents, siblings, mates, loved ones and companions. There is a beautiful, well manicured campus with historic buildings and winding paths to enjoy a nice stroll. Architecture, landscaping and history abound at this historic university.

We walked along the city streets and enjoyed the colonial atmosphere. Very nice. We chose not to pay for admission due to our time constraints.
