Tucked away, but within an easy walk from the car park, is a wonderful board walk which leads you through an ancient looking forest.
The walk itself is absolutely lovely and wheelchair accessible, though you might have some trouble getting there in a chair over the gravel in the car park.

The walk from the park building down to the waterfront site of the first Mission Station settlement is dotted with information boards providing you with a background on the history of the area.
I first visited the Park on Christmas Day 2014 celebrating 200 years since Samuel Marsden held the first Christmas service there.
