- Heath and Ali CNewcastle, Australia8 contributionsBeautiful spot to watch the famous W.A sunset. We took a bottle of wine and some cheese, sat on a blanket and waited for the sun to go down. Just magic.Written January 12, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jeffry bEssendon, Australia13,703 contributionsCottesloe Civic Center is a historic complex of attractive buildings. The Civic Center is the creation of the Western Australian mining magnate, Claude Albo de Bernales. He was a wealthy entrepreneur who won praise for stimulating the struggling WA gold mining industry during the hard-pressed 1930s. These days, it's the headquarters of the Town of Cottesloe. The Civic Center is beautiful, it's frequently used for social functions, which I have occasionally attended.Written March 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Helen SQuindalup, Australia462 contributionsI had a baby in the pram so we just kept walking along the path and came upon this piece of sculpture. - Dan LBunbury, Australia9,012 contributionsThis is an unusual sculpture to be called 'Centrefold' but then I am not the artist. None of my contacts could give me an explanation until I was eventually directed to a website that states;-
"Centrefold is a work reflecting the artist’s interest in fundamental design and structure stimulated by the shipping makers on Fremantle Harbour. It becomes a perceptual portal." The artist is Mark Grey-Smith, the sculpture is aluminium and black oxide and was purchased by the Town of Cottesloe in 2006.Written November 22, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is one of a series entitled 'Together' by this artist. It is an abstract sculpture focusing on the cycle of life, relationships and human condition and was unveiled in 2011.Written December 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GinieMaryPerth, Australia251 contributionsA group of us had lunch in the club house of Sea View Golf Club. The food was delicious with a good selection of reasonably priced dishes to choose from sandwiches, fresh salads to steaks served on a wooden board. To add to the pleasure of the occasion, the views from the huge picture windows were superb. The building is set up high in the middle of the golf course, so we looked over the green turf to a wide vista of the ocean towards the island of Rottnest and beyond. Sunsets must be spectacular. Patrons do not have to be members to dine at the club.Written November 15, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
