Before going to the Great Sta Cruz Island. first, you have to booked at the tourism office in Paseo Del Mar Park center or at DOT accredited tour agency. second, you have to attend a short pre-trip briefing by the tourism staff at paseo del mar. it's about the rules in the island, prohibition in taking corals, sand and bringing single use plastic items. this island is a protected area and managed by the local government unit. Sta Cruz Islands are composed of the great sta cruz island (activities like lagoon tour, yellow boat adventure, visit to stingless jellyfish sanctuary, vinta ride) and the little sta cruz island is a sand bar , visitor is allowed for only 10 minutes just to take pictures because it is a military zone area. What a lovely place! it is a paradise. Boat ride is 15-20 minutes from paseo del mar jetty to the great sta cruz island, the pink sand. ;)

Indeed one of the most beautiful public buildings that I visited. Kudos to the people of Zamboanga City for preserving such a historical landmark!

this seaside attraction boasts of several restaurants with varying menus and corresponding prices. we did not enter any.

we just sulked on the view, the sea meeting the sky from afar, with the sun ready to set in the twilight. there's a large signage naming the place as such and tourists can do several foto ops which we actually did.

paseo del mar is a good spot to while your time away, for free.

Took a bus ride to Pagadian/Dipolog at the Zamboanga Integrated Bus Terminal. The travel time is approximately 2 hours from Zambo City to Barangay Vitali’s town proper where you will take a habal habal ride towards the falls. Bus fare is only ₱180/pax.

The ride is quite bumpy due to bad road conditions. So better prepare yourself. Put your stuff in a bag pack so you’ll be able to hold on tight on the motorbike. The travel time is at least 30 minutes and we paid ₱15/pax for the entrance and another ₱10/motorbike for the parking fee.

The habal habal drivers charged us ₱500/pax for the two-way trip (1 guest is allowed per motorbike). They will wait for you at the site while you explore the waterfalls and will bring you back to the highway where you can catch a ride back to Zamboanga City Integrated Bus Terminal. From the Integrated Bus terminal, you can catch a ride towards Zambo City town proper or KCC Mall via the IBT white bus (look for white buses with B2 sign outside the Integrated Bus Terminal. Don’t ever take tricycle ride as the drivers will charge you exorbitant fares.

    Note:
**Better go the Vitali town proper early in the morning so you can have more time exploring the falls. Don’t forget to bring some food!

This was my second time to visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Zamboanga City. But this was my first time to attend a mass and got to see the second floor of the church.

What is unique about this holy place is that it houses two (2) churches or worship places: one (1) at the ground floor and another one (1) at the second floor. But all the regular masses are being conducted at the second floor.

The church is big and white. The design is both timely and stylish with some old designs that can be seen in its window and wall glasses.

It was a great place to worship and pray.

Kcc mall is still the biggest mall in zamboanga city. It is clean and well maintained. The mall has many restaurants, branded stores, computers and cell phones stores, parlors etc., kcc also has its own department store, pharmacy and big supermarket that have many local or imported items, wet n dry goods, fresh fruits, vegetables, fish, meat etc. It's a complete one stop shop. Prices are cheaper than other groceries and supermarket. Parking is free.

According to locals the waterfalls is Malagandis while the river is Tagbilat. Locals are more familiar with Malagandis falls, simply because the falls is located in Brgy. Malagandis. Coming from Ipil drive towards Titay going to Brgy. Culasian around 18Km then turn right going to Brgy. Malagandis, my odometer reading shows 7Km from hi way to where i parked my pick up The road condition from Ipil to Brgy. Culasian are all cemented. From Hiway to Brgy Malagandis are partly cemented and paved passable road..
Some children helped us and served as our guide to the falls. The walk is maybe less than a kilometer.
Actually when we went to Malagandis falls, we came from Situbo falls coming from Sta. Clara Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Malagandis falls is comparable to Tinuy-an falls of Bislig, Surigao del Norte/ Curtain falls of Baganga, Davao del Norte and Lulugayan falls of Calbiga, Samar.

named after General John Joseph "Black Jack" Pershing to honor his victory over Muslim insurgents, this plaza is situated just across the zamboanga city hall.

although small in size, it is also a looker in the heart of the city. at night, it shimmers in festive lights to attract passersby. and it barely misses. pershing plaza is a good hang out place or a rendezvous of some sorts for family, friends and lovers.

It's a downhill and steep path going to city proper. Best time to take a picture of this place is during sunny and clear weather.

If this is the first time you're going to visit Pagadian, ask your motorcab driver to stop first at the top of the rotunda for picture taking (they don't charge extra fee for a short stop for this one).
