Biking on the trail in Burlington was beautiful. It goes for 10+ miles. There were several areas we could see the lake and several rest/observation areas. The wind was blowing so we stayed comfortable. I would highly recommend this trail and a sailboat cruise with Whistling Man Schooner Company.

Wonderful area to walk with shops and restaurants. Most of the shops are local as well as the restaurants. You must not miss this area when visiting Burlington.

We took a stroll along the lakefront. There are areas to sit and enjoy a Creamee, have a picnic, or run around. Lots of photo opportunities. The city did a nice job with this area. There is also a children’s museum nearby. Street parking, metered or in a paid lot.

It's a great way to spend 90 minutes out on the water, having a good lunch with great service, and learning about Lake Champlain, the Burlington area, and its history.

Went here today for first time. Great friendly staff and vendors. I will be back again for sure. Parking is a little tricky as not on site but can walk over.

What a great place! We got here later than I wanted, getting here at 3 (and they close at 5), but kid enjoyed the two hours here, building and racing a Lego racer, role playing in the Champ Lane area, and looking at the fish. Just enough time, although we could have spent longer. One of our regrets is that we didn't have enough time to watch a 3D movie, which looked interesting. Due to construction, the ECHO parking lot is inaccessible, but we parked at the adjacent lot (cards only, $10 for our stay, and there was only one price option; it wasn't per hour.) We'll definitely be back and stay longer next time we're in the area.

We had planned a 4 day trip to Burlington, and decided to check into what was happening at The Flynn. Much to our delight, it was Mania, The Abba Tribute!
It was a fantastic night in early November, so before the show we wandered the Church Street Marketplace, and had a great dinner at American Flatbread. Staying at the Hilton gave us walking access to everything!
We purchased tickets early, and ended up with awesome seats in Row C. The event was absolutely magical...this group from the UK was high energy, and really got the crowd moving. More than worth the $71 per ticket charge!
This venue is gorgeous! Built originally in 1930, it has undergone several remodels-but maintained its Art Deco style.

Went here while exploring Burlington. Fun atmosphere, dog and kid friendly, staff wasn’t overly friendly - but not unfriendly either. I had the Japanese lager and it was great. Would definitely have again.

We drove through / past the campus of UVM. Looks beautiful as you’d expect, but we spent no time there at all. The Lake Champlain waterfront area is very nice — spread out, neat and inviting. We went on a 90 minute cruise on the Ethan Allen and though it was cloudy & breezy, it was a very fine little trip and well worth the $40-something tag (which included a full lunch served by a very attentive staff). We like Burlington a lot. And especially Church Street where it’s set up for pedestrians only….they’ve got dozens of modest-sized but quite fine retail stores & restaurants & taverns, etc. As for lodging—we didn’t stay in Burlington because we had a super deal in nearby Waterbury at a Marriott Fairfield….about a 20-30 minute drive away.

A beautiful park on the coast of Lake Champlain in Burlington. Plenty of parking space but I wont surprised if this place gets packed. There's play area and pavilions. You can also rent kayaks, SUPs and canoes.

We stopped at Switchback while visiting friends in Vermont. Although I am not a beer drinker, my husband loved the beer, so much that we made a return trip. Nice brewery, with a small gift shop and unique artwork for sale outside.

Oakledge Park is a nice little park in south Burlington with some nice facilities. The beach has great views of Lake Champlain and the Burlington shoreline. The beach is rounded, and quite rocky in some areas. There are picnic tables, pavilions, walking trails, tennis and volleyball courts as well as a playground. There is a cool treehouse to climb as well as bathrooms. It will cost you $2 an hour to park from May to October.

Large variety of original local art from jewelry to paintings to pottery.

High prices to be expected in a heavily tourist area.

    Lovely array of beautiful things.

Sometimes we just stumble across something and decide to give it a try. This was one of those stops. It is a tiny museum just two rooms, and a covered entry way with some displays. We watched the movie, and then went on a tour with a guide of the house. Certainly you learn a lot from those two, probably would not get much just from the displays. Our guide was an older man who was very knowledgeable about Ethan Allen and the homestead. The movie and tour were maybe an hour, 90 minutes, so not a big place with tons to see, but felt like our tour guide would have been able to answer any questions. He came on the tour prepared with books and papers to share. Our tour was only 4 adults and three 15-20 year old "kids" so I am sure he adjusted his tour to fit who he was guiding.

Well worth the hour or two, just be sure to catch the movie and guided tour of the house.
