Nice size zoo, we stayed about and hour & 1/2. The kids enjoyed themselves looking at all of the animals. We will definitely return.

Such a beautiful garden with well maintained walking paths and fountains. We came the weekend after the first cold front of the season so some of the roses were dying off but it was still very nice. I can imagine just how gorgeous it is when the roses are in full bloom. The garden is free and so is parking but there is a small fee if you'd like to visit the rose museum. It's about the Tyler Rose Festival and the Rose Queens throughout the years. The gowns displayed here are so beautiful!!! Definitely worth the $3.50 admission. There is also a small gift shop as well. I would love to visit again during full bloom.

A very, very pleasant park with a lake and hilly surroundings. It was very quiet. The map was accurate and helpful. It looks like it would be good for camping and/or glamping.

Love this place and the animals! Came here in June with my wife for a tour. Best tour guide EVER, Kayla King. She knew so much about each animal made the tour so interesting! Would recommend her, the tour and the refuge to ANYONE!

Great experience at this winery. The tasting was fun. We enjoyed the wine, bought several bottles & joined the wine club. We had a charcuterie board as our dinner because we ate a huge lunch at the restaurant. Amazing!

A beautiful example of a mansion of the 1800's. The staff are friendly. The grounds are peaceful and relaxed.

We loved riding through the neighborhoods of Tyler while the azaleas were blooming. They were gorgeous and the homeowners took such pride in manicuring their yards for the event. The homes are all different and not cookie cutter in the older neighborhoods. There were signs and maps telling us where to go. Loved the Pyron garden which was free to stroll about.

This pretty park is located near midtown, decorated well and cozy. It's in a sunken area off the main road, Broadway and a nice place to sit a reflect.

This was a lot of fun! The nature trails are great. This is one of the coolest parks we've been to. Definitely worth going to.

A huge, grassy, well maintained facility. From open fields for any horse competition to a large super eventing field. Wow, restaurant during shows was good and reasonable. Barns, competition fields, indoor & outside arena, over-all venue is hard to believe, Must be a monster to maintain--IT IS MAINTAINED!!

We had a good time. The young lady welcomed us with a smile at the front. It was very interesting to see all of the old planes. We had an awesome tour guide (Mike).

Living in DFW, I really hadn't heard much about this lake. This is an undiscovered quiet lake which is a nature lover & fisherman's paradise! So many coves to paddleboard in & a wide open water area by the dam for skiing & tubing. What sets this lake apart are all the hills & very tall trees! Multiple RV parks on the water, & 2 food grills with live music make it a great destination!
Right now the lake is like 'On Golden Pond', but I'm sure once this hidden gem will be discovered by more folks as words spreads of it's beauty!

Historic tour of an old used-to-be. I liked it. But I’m a Civil War buff. The tour is self guided and a little derelict. However, you get an idea of the prison camp if you step back and study the terrain. You can still recognize earthworks and other details. I guess a civic group or maybe Boyscouts threw up some dugout shelters and what not. Pretty neat area for a stroll if you need to stretch your legs.

This park is great and is typically crowded. 4 stars because its easy to get lost if you're new to the area and the safety has declined lately. Hopefully the city comes up with a way to increase safety for solo runners.
