- Sara F16 contributionsBeautiful park with nice hiking trails and spacious sites. The only issue was the locks on the shower doors which were confusing and several people got walked in on while we were there.Written 6 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - boymomdfwDallas, TX1,726 contributionsWe had a great visit to Knibbe Ranch. They have a huge seating area and lots of buffet lines for the 200+ guests that were attending a conference. Food was very good. There was lots of staff to clean up and take our plates away. Enjoyed our visit.Written 13 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dann CSurrey35 contributionsPower Park Fitness is a fantastic place for any wannabe Ninja Warriors or obstacle course racers. The best part is that David and Vance have made their training facility open to the public, including letting kids try it out. Our two daughters (11 and 8) are such huge fans of obstacles that we made the 1 1/4 hr drive from Austin to check out Power Park...and it was totally worth it. Adult ninja warrior obstacles are definitely hard for kids, but the girls had a blast on the modified warped walls and the crazy cliffhanger. We walked the 1.75 mile outdoor obstacle course around the ranch, and the obstacles were also amazing (perhaps a bit more do-able for kids). Met David and Vance briefly as they came into train - they are great people and very open and friendly! Would love to visit again next time we're in town.Written 19 March 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Heidi1 contributionAnhalt is by far my favorite dance venue. I always feel like I’m getting out of town and going somewhere special due to its historic significance to our community. The band is always excellent and the dance floor is great.Written 6 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michelle HSealy, TX77 contributionsWe have been here several times, and always make it a point to stop when we are in the area. They have many good beers, and we always purchase several 6-packs to bring home. They have a food truck, but it was not opened the day we were there, but we had brought snacks, so we were covered. We sat outside, and it was a cool day, but with the heater lit, it was very nice. Already looking forward to when we will return!Written 28 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeanie5 contributionsGreat place to walk around while your sipping your lime in the coconut wine. Flowers, water falls, Plants, a visual fantasy of how most wish there garden looks. - John KJoshua, TX1 contributionBarry, treated my family to a great time on Canyon Lake. True to his word he taught us a boat load about fishing and put us on plenty of fish. He’s outfitted with a great boat and top notch gear. He definitely knows the lake and a fish story or two ;) I highly recommend him! - lauriegmartin1232The Woodlands, TX4 contributionsOur trip using this river outfitter was mostly positive. I would like to point out that this stretch of the river is very serene and for the most part you don't see a lot of river traffic. The rapids are easily navigated for beginner canoers and kayakers.
The staff is courteous one check in. The grounds have peacocks and cats that were fun for my daughters to see. The location is on the Guadalupe where you will end your trip. The prices were fair for canoe and kayak rentals.
There are a few problems with this location. The grounds are in terrible condition. There are overflowing trash cans everywhere. There are several RVs and tents that camp on the property. The only bathroom is a port-O-potty. Both times I've seen it the port-o-potty was out of toilet paper and had no hand sanitizer. There is a deck that is collapsing and rotting near the water.
My biggest issue with this company is the angle steepness and difficulty associated with getting the kayak and canoe back on land. When you're done with your trip you have to pull up a very heavy canoe up a metal guide at an approximate 60° angle. I am 40 a female and pretty strong. I was not able to do this with my 65-year-old mother, or my strong 12-year-old. Some young men saw a struggling and were able to pull up the equipment for us. I knew this would be a problem because I've rented at this place before but when my husband was with me. I asked the gentleman who rented us the canoes if we would be able to call for them to pull the canoes back in the water. He said he would not be able to guarantee it.
They need to install a winch, or employee strong young people in order to be able to return the canoes. It is unreasonable to expect most renters to be able to do this.Written 7 July 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I decided to try out Kia-Simone and was so thankful to come across it. The wine was delicious and priced really well. However, when you are flying solo you get to really take in an establishment and their staff. Sheila, the owner, was full of smiles and determination. Her love for her business and employees was palpable. This place was BUSY with a life band going and beautiful Spring weather. Sheila was encouraging and so kind to her employees. That to me is the sign of a business I want to support. This business is owned by Veterans and poc. Their passion for wine was a joy to witness. Just go - you will be glad you did!Written 2 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
