- Choie82Houston, TX233 contributions$25 for 4 people - sold! Bring cash - concession , train and admission all seemed to be down or charge a fee to use a card. Only $2 per ticket for the train ride! Although not much to see on the ride, it offers a nice respite from walking.
Zoo area: shaded, small, great. Peacocks roam free! Can be done in about two hours including the train ride. Only downsides were we did not see the rhino, tiger, lion or sloth. Either they were hiding really well or the enclosures were closed. Also, I wish the signage in the reptile room was better on the glass- we weren’t sure what all of them were 🤷♀️ all in all - a great break from driving- we had a great time. This is a great place to go and enjoy a night out with great music. Love this venue. It was full of surprises at every corner and I had a wonderful time seeing everything they had to offer. Great variety and super friendly staff. - Bill CDallas, TX33 contributionsThis is a great walking trail. It has a nice walking surface and wanders through some beautiful East Texas forestland. There are lights and call boxes along the trail for security. However, as other reviewers have noted, there have been incidents on this trail. I’ve seen homeless folks on it is as it is very close to a busy part of town.
