What a fun spot to just sit and watch the planes take off and land. The view is amazing and the planes take off and land maybe 200 yards at most in front of you. There is never a lack of planes to watch either, if you’re into aviation this is for you. My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed it and if we’re ever back in the area we will visit again.

Not under construction anymore. It turned out really nice. Flowing water and water coming up around the house hooves make it look like they are running through the water. Nice spot for pictures.

This is a great place to attend a concert and eat at the different restaurants. The only problem is parking in the place. It takes forever to park in the parking.

The house where Ruth Paine provided shelter for Marina Oswald and her daughters has been meticulously curated to reflect their lives in 1963. The attention to detail is impressive. As children of the 60s, my husband and I found much about the house and its contents familiar. Our guide, Kevin, was a wealth of knowledge about the home and family and their place in history. We highly recommend this tour.

This is a great place for a walk in Irving, with some shops. The canal makes it quaint and it looks like the River Walk in San Antonio in some places.

The area is quiet especially on a Sunday, and there are several places to get a bite to eat after walking around the full length.

We stopped here to see the sculpture garden. While it was small and did not have many pieces, it is very well done. Worth a stop. A nice use of water and reflections.

This is a very special worship space. It is a calm within the storm of busy Dallas. While it is plain, it is beautiful in its simplicity. Worship services are beautiful with the monks chanting.

It's pretty, especially during seasonal events. They do put a lot of effort in to keep it looking great. If you want to stop and take pictures, park above in the lot for the Corner Bakery, Jimmy Johns, Chipotle, etc and make a lunch and photo op out of it. In winter in the evening, they expand the lighting to include the entire surrounding green space. Sort of a winter wonderland effect. Driving past it daily and I still find it spectacular at times.

Great for small children. Only open June & July. Animals at zoo: peacocks, miniature horses, a donkey, turkey, large rabbits, a cow & chickens. Great shaded park in walking distance for the children to play & family relax.

I went on a Saturday afternoon/evening. I jogged on the trail portion just north of downtown, and the portion next to Trinity Park (under the Lancaster Avenue Bridge).

The north-of-downtown portion is nice and quiet, there weren't too many people there. There's a bike path and pedestrian path. Very beautiful views of the Forth Worth skyline, and especially nice because it is fall, and you can see the leaves changing color. There's a drive in theater along the trail, and also a nice brewery (Panther Island Brewing) if you get off the trail and walk for about 15 minutes. I parked for free elsewhere and walked to this park, but if you want to use the park's lot then you'll have to pay (not sure how much it is, I didn't look).

The Trinity Park/Lancaster avenue portion is a bit south downstream. Parking along the street is free. There's more people but it wasn't terribly crowded when I went. It's a great place to watch the sun set, and there's a very nice pedestrian bridge where you can get some good views. There's also a waterfall where you can climb down and get close to the water. Just be careful not to slip and fall. The only downside to going in the evening is that there's a bunch of gnats, so make sure to keep your mouth closed when biking/jogging and clean off your shirt before getting in your car so you don't have bug corpses all over your seat!

What I really loved about this park was all the ducks, ducklings, geese, and other birds that surrounded the water. They were so cute to watch.

This is a really nice park besides the trash in the water. The walking trail isn't as long as other parks I have been too but it is a beautiful view as you walk. There is also a playground, baskball court, and a spray park for the summer months.

Haggerty Gallery is located at the University of Dallas. There is ample parking at the location. If you visiting with someone in a wheelchair, there is a ramp that you can use to get to the facility and it has almost no incline. It is wheelchair friendly in other words. The gallery is small so it shouldn't take any more that 30 minutes to see if you do the whole audio tour. I found the students working there to be knowledgeable about the exhibit. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The air conditioning works well and there are plenty of water fountains located nearby. You will not get overheated. The gallery is not stuff. During the time of my visit, they were exhibiting engravings done by Marc Chagall, who is a well-known early modernist. It was really quite the collection to assemble. Kudos to the university. If you're in the area, check out the exhibit and see if it is something you'd like to see. Spend a moment to visit this beautiful campus.

Irving is dotted with great parks, and for some reason this one seems to be overlooked. There is tons of parking, lots of things for kids AND for adults to do, and plenty of space for you to enjoy!
