The museum is quite varied and definitely worth going to. We purchased the CityPass, and used it here. There are extras that you have to pay for, if you want to go in, though.

My wife and I experienced NASA for the first time! It was amazing! We of course had to get some souvenirs, so we stopped by the Space Trader Gift Shop. My wife swiftly fell in love with a really nice shirt and as one could imagine, it came home with us. Unfortunately, a few weeks later, her new, favorite shirt became a “new shade of gray” while getting some highlights put it at the local beauty shop. She was REALLY bummed about it! Of course, I swiftly went into action to “fix” the problem. I found the Space Trader Gift Shop website and was hopeful that I could simply order her another one. Well, turned out the shirt I needed was not available on their website, so that left me with calling customer service and hoping for the best. I have two words for you… Yolanda Carmona! From the moment she picked up, she put me at ease and sprang into action. She was emphatic and knowledgeable. She verified and secured the exact product I needed and took extra measures to ensure that the correct product would ship to me. She made me a Superhero with my wife, and peace has officially returned to the Galaxy! I cannot thank her enough! I am super grateful she picked up! Way-to-go Yolanda, the Gift Shop, NASA! She might have actually restored my faith in the belief of exceptional people, caring about others and their work enough to provide “Excellent Customer Service.”

This museum is huge. It has three buildings. You can spend all day here and probably not see it all. I was able to do most of one building. Lots of beautiful paintings and statues. Worth a trip.

I flew to Houston for my 22nd birthday. The mall is pretty big. I lost my car parking lol. Staff was friendly :) The building was clean.

We went for the Astros/ Phillies three games. The crowd we sat around were hilarious and loved to hackle just as much as we did! All the employees were very friendly. It was an over-all very enjoyable time.

We always enjoy our time at The Music Box Theater! We just visited their new location in the Queensbury Theater near City Centre and had a wonderful time. The theater is comfortable and still has stage-side seats. There are a lot more bathroom stalls, and a much bigger snack bar and foyer.

What hasn't changed is the great talent on the stage. Every member of the troop is an outstanding talent. The singing is sublime, the camaraderie is fun, and the shows are always a treat. The band is also amazingly talented!

We highly recommend The Music Box Theater to everyone!

I’m from Dallas area and was incredibly surprised by the natural beauty and large collection of museums that Houston has. Thankfully we were in town during the week for spring break and our local experts let us know that the museums are free after 1pm on Thursday. This came in quite handy, although they were crowded it was soooo much to take in

This museum is about the funeral industry.

I haven't seen a museum like this or dedicated to educating the public about the funeral industry anywhere in the world.

There is a free parking lot right outside the museum.

Budgeted for an hour but ended up spending three hours. It covers a wide range of topics from Presidential Funeral, Popal Funeral, cremation history and process, different funeral customs from other countries, and with the newly added permanent exhibit on Shroud of Turin.

There is an admission fee. Better to go to the restroom before entry because once you enter, there is no restroom inside until you are out. No food or drinks allowed inside.

The museum environment isn't scary or creepy.

The displays and exhibits are educational and informative. For example, they have several booklets on coffin price used by coffin salespeople in the past. There are students came here as part of field trips.

If you are in Houston and is looking for a unique place to visit for half a day, this can be a good option. It's on north side of Houston, not too far from George Bush International Airport ("IAH"), about 20 minutes' drive.

We went on their free Family Fun night on Thursday and there is so much to do we wouldnt mind paying a fee for any other day! Our 2 year old loved the outdoor space with water exhibits. Additionally the TOTS room upstairs was the perfect area for her to explore and play with other kids. Definitely a staple of our family vacation!

This is part of the Museum of Natural Science, and we were glad we paid the extra to go in. It's small but very nicely done.

Contains the unique and wide-ranging collection of the Menils in a purpose built contemporary space. Much bigger than we expected. Big, well lit galleries with few dark corners or reflections.
We quickly scanned the Cy Twombly building. Baffled by it. Is it art? Some think so.
Two irritating points: there are few art museums that don't allow non-flash photography of their collections. The Menil only allows pics in the hallway. Yes, it is their museum, but why do this when few others do?
Also, the guards were the most aggressive I've seen since the Uffizi, decades ago. They would follow us around like we were just released from prison.
The Bistro on the grounds has a spectacular setting/space and the menu was so exciting. Sadly, the execution of the dishes we ordered was disappointing.

This is the sixth Jewish holocaust related sites I've visited in the world. What sets this museum apart is it provides an end-to-end overview of the Jewish holocaust history.
    1. It provides a comprehensive chronological overview on how it all started, strategies and tactics Nazi used to isolate the Jews socially, and how they were killed, before implementing the systematic and massive killing through concentration camps. This is the part I was not aware of.
    2. It also talks about what happened to the survivors after the war was over, the struggle and challenges they faced.

All along, I thought the Nazis captured the Jews and sent them to get killed in the concentration camps. When I visited Auschwitz in Poland many years ago, the main focus was from the point the Jews arrived at Auschwitz and how they were executed.

There is an admission fee (not cheap) and you must go through security check.
There is a paid parking next to the museum with reasonable fee. I don't recommend street parking.
There is a small deli cafe on the second floor.

The main Holocaust exhibits are all on the ground floor. Better to start with the introductory film before seeing the exhibits.

Plan for at least two hours to look through the holocaust parts thoroughly. There are several videos on the holocaust survivors telling their own stories throughout the exhibits; they are worth listening. Their stories help bringing exhibits alive.

There are other temporary exhibits, if you want to see them also, suggest adding another 1-2 hours.

    Educational and sobering.
A classic contrast of evil vs good: brutal Nazis vs non-Jews who risk their lives to save the Jews by taking them into their homes and hide them or sponsoring their immigration.

If you are in Houston area for sightseeing, I recommend visiting this place. It's in the museum district of downtown Houston.

I stumbled upon this place while riding a bike throughout Houston, TX. It was pretty packed with people from diverse backgrounds. Live music was playing and people were dancing. Others were picnicking and/or playing outdoor games. The park was not as large as I hoped it to be. However, still a great, relaxing time. There's food galore, either from venders in the park or near by businesses.

Beautiful bike trail with diverse terrain. I got a great sweat in only 30 min. Very easy to bike and/or hike with friends, family, and kids.
