What travelers are saying
- Emily LLufkin, TX297 contributionsAn excellent collection, including a number of works by “big” names and free entry? Yes please! The website doesn’t show off all of their works by better-known artists, so don’t get fooled - it’s worth going to!Written December 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ulysses06St. Louis91 contributionsThis is a must-do for any visitor to Fort Worth, capturing both sides of the city: the cowboy and the culture. We were especially lucky to go on a tour led by Michael Clarke. Michael is as knowledgeable as he is interesting, and really brings the art alive. Cannot say enough about him!Written September 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Keith BAlamogordo, NM226 contributionsIt's more for a younger crowd (kids), but we had a pleasant experience here. We enjoyed visiting the different areas of the village. - Deirdre Tampa904 contributionsWonderful free museum. Can do in an hour. We went yesterday (Saturday)
and were engaged by Ronnie Horton, a docent who was very knowledgeable and so enthusiastic. We hadn't been in 9 months and didn't realize they changed the exhibits. What a gem to have in fort worth. We check it out whenever we come to fort worth. We found it because they sponsor Ballet Frontier and we were at Nutcracker production and saw their name in the program of sponsors. Check it out, very worthwhile.Written September 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MelAsh22Buenos Aires, Argentina31 contributionsI recently visited this charming aviation museum, and it was a great experience! Although it’s on the smaller side and you can easily explore it in under an hour, it’s packed with interesting exhibits.
One highlight is the old plane on display, which lets you step inside and see what air travel was like years ago. It’s a fascinating glimpse into the past! The museum also features a variety of historical artifacts and uniforms from old flight crews, adding to the overall experience.
If you’re an aviation enthusiast or just looking for a unique outing, this museum is definitely worth a visit!Written September 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The one sign states over 178 million head of livestock went through Fort Worth! It’s super reasonable to go through. Definitely recommend!!Written October 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- carla c23 contributionsSmall museum but very hands on for kids of all ages. Closed exhibit hall. Small "lunch" area was a scaled down Chikfila. Dinosaur sand dig was fun. Not a long visit but just enough for kids to maintain their interest.Written July 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Daniel RJupiter, FL21 contributionsI visited the Cowgirl Museum a dozen years ago and found it interesting that girls who grew up on ranches often became excellent riders and shooters. We all know of Annie Oakley, but many never gained her fame but were very competent. Yes, the Cowgirl Museum is definitely worth a visit.Written July 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
