I did the Ryman VIP tour and it was very much worth it. The tour guide took their time, explained everything, and was exceptionally knowledgable. The group was small (VIP) and, once the tour concluded, we had free reign of the place. The tour lasted 2-1/2 hours and included the dressing rooms.

Pleasure. Enjoyed it very much even with 11 and under children. Tour was informative. I think they should allow children to learn about the jubilee and slave waiters though.

Very interesting museum, highlighting both well known and lesser known artists. Exhibits are well curated, and lots of costumes and music throughout the museum!

Visited Studio B – was a very informative tour but to sit in the Studio where so many famous singers sat and created #1 hits – it was indescribable. A tour guide was very animated which was very welcomed.

This visit to Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage was very pleasant, enough to see and hear without being overwhelmed, and well priced. The mansion tour is at a specific time so they can control tour sizes but the museum and gardens and grounds are at your leisure. The staff here were all very pleasant. Photos are allowed on the grounds but not inside the mansion. They do have post cards in the shop that have some interior photos. My only recommendation is that when the tour guides are outside at the start of the mansion tour, remember to speak louder because other outside noises and other groups can make it harder to hear. I would definitely recommend this activity to other travelers!

Charming oasis in the middle of the hotel. I could sit there for hours just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Best of all it’s free lots of nice restaurants around to grab a bite while you’re there.

The third place that we visited on our first full day in Nashville was downtown. Some of it has changed since 1997 but much has not. This is the only place that we had to pay for parking ($25.00 US). That said, it was quite a busy place on a Monday afternoon.
We wanted to eat lunch at Hatie B's but there was a long lineup (over an hour) so we chose the Blanco Cocina + Cantina restaurant instead. We ate at Hatie B's the next day at one of their other locations.

This museum was really thought out and creatively designed. Every area of his life is represented. The price was really worth it and the staff were very friendly. I really loved all the different listening stations, very cool. Highly recommend this for anyone who loved JC.

Great distillery! We didn’t do the tour but enjoyed a flight of bourbon. Fun place to visit while in Nashville. Nice alternative to Broadway!

Wow, we absolutely LOVED our visit to the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum. It was like getting a behind the scenes tour of the music industry. Well thought out presentation, incredible information and SO many one of a kind items in this museum collection. We would highly recommend visiting!

We began our second full day in Nashville by visiting Belmont Mansion on the property of Belmont University. Although the estate originally consisted of 180 acres, the mansion is all that remains of it. That said, it was my favorite of the 3 mansions that we toured in Nashville. We loved the tour!
In 1849, after the death of her husband, the infamous slave trader Isaac Franklin who bequeathed his slave-trading fortune to her, the extremely wealthy widow Adelicia (Hayes) Franklin married Joseph Alexander Smith Acklen, a young attorney from Alabama. They built Belmont Mansion, also known as Acklen Hall, and originally known as Belle Monte, Belle Mont or Belmont to serve as the center of their summer estate in what was then country outside the city, and featured elaborate gardens and a zoo. It was completed by 1853 as an Italian villa-style summer home. They lived the rest of the year on one of her seven Louisiana cotton slave plantations, which totaled 8,600 acres.
Today the mansion is owned by the Belmont Mansion Association and Belmont University and is operated and preserved by the Belmont Mansion Association. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
Parking was free but vehicles had to be registered. I did this online the evening before but one could also do so at the door. You will need to know your license plate number.

Wow. Was an unexpected find in Nashville but well worth the $10 entrance fee to look around the inside art exhibition and the magnificent statue
