The tour is just the right duration, you don’t want it longer; you don’t want it shorter.

The tour through this company was very well organised. The meeting point is very easy to find. Only thing we didn’t know prior to arriving at the morning meeting point was what coach/bus to look out for - those details weren’t in the reservation email we received… Hot tip for young players - it’s a nice new looking shiny black coach with no signage, it has some interior blue LED strip lighting visible through the windows.

The transport is new, a large 3/4 size coach with leather upholstered seats and overhead storage, seats are two per side and a back row seat with 5 seats. There are seatbelts for your safety/comfort although not mandatory.

We did the Nashville to Jack Daniels distillery tour with the tasting option, it was pretty fun and we sampled 5 different whiskeys.

Our group had about 25 people in it; I definitely think group interaction makes the experience more fun; but we also like getting to meet new people on vacation and that’s not everyone’s cup of tea… If our group was more interactive/chatty with one another I think it could have been more fun… That’s where our amazing guide AT the Jack Daniels distillery steps in…

We had a great tour guide named Shaun (I think he said his name was Shaun D so there must be more than one Shaun)… He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun, a pretty chill guy with a good sense of humour. He said he had grown up in the area his whole life and worked for JD for the past 5 years, you can definitely tell he enjoyed his work and enjoyed the hospitality element of hosting tourists, making people feel included and engaged. His knowledge was excellent and he (as expected) had a lot of great and interesting facts to give us. He shared his local knowledge too, given he grew up in Lynchburg - hearing from a true “local” was very authentic.

You do leave the tour with the overall feeling that everything at the JD distillery is very interconnected and like one big 700 person family. They seem like the sort of place/business that actually values their employees.

We would have enjoyed the experience regardless but the guide really made it a top shelf experience.

All souvenirs and lunches etc are for purchase in the town square which is an easy and flat 3 minute walk from the JD distillery. Our coach driver (whose name escapes me) was very friendly and genuinely welcoming from the moment we arrived, he showed our group through the town first whilst on the coach, before dropping us to the distillery. The driver was really lovely, a safe driver (I’ve had some lunatic drivers on other vacations) and he also offered some recommendations for lunch.

We had lunch at BBQ Caboose Cafe; good service, cheap prices and big servings. Food took less than 5 minutes to come out and the atmosphere was relaxed and casual, waitresses were genuinely friendly. $21 for a huge BBQ pulled pork burger, a pulled chicken sand which with all the trimmings, a side of Mac & cheese and two soft drinks.

I was pleasantly surprised that there was no “expected” tipping for your groups individual guide. (I have noticed this is really common no matter how basic the assistance or how poorly some companies staff fake their enthusiasm). We tipped Shaun regardless - although as we mentioned, it’s not expected at all - Shaun really was the perfect guide/host and was very engaging.

We did a personalized tour for our group of 8 people. It was roundtrip from Nashville to Memphis, TN to see Graceland, Sun Studios and Beale Street. Our Mint Julep driver was Zach and he did an exceptional job getting us through the 15 hour long single day trip. It started the day ahead with a personalized text from Zach confirming our pickup location and time. We had MJE pick us up directly at our hotel.
He was on-time and the bus was an upscale leather seated, very clean tour bus for 12 to 14 people with a cooler of waters, ice and some small snacks waiting for us. We booked the tour a couple of weeks ahead and everything was delivered as promised with no complaints from any of our group. If looking to book a tour, I would highly recommend Mint Julep and would definitely book with them again. Mint Julep is a professional company, very responsive when we emailed them with questions during the booking process and a true class act in providing customer service.
Thanks again for the great tour experience!!!!

We are not whiskey people but we had a great wine experience! They have 4 dry wines. Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot noir, and Cabernet. All were delicious! If I was a whiskey person, I would highly recommend their tasting, and their premium whiskey experience and tour, in the creepy basement! You can also blend your own whiskey and take pics for your personalized label! The staff is amazing! Very attentive and knowledgeable! It was a great experience and a fun time!

We were so thrilled to work with Barrels of Fun to plan a safe travel experience! They were very responsive and helpful! The bus was very clean and roomy! They had a little drink area set up with waters, chips, ice, cups...everything you need! Our driver Kristy was fantastic! Visit the winery! Lots of outdoor safe distancing!

I recently used Broadway & Backroads with a group of friends for a mural tour. It was such a fun way to spend an afternoon and felt much nicer than the usual touristy bus tours you see around Nashville. Our driver was so nice, the van was clean and nice, and we had the best time! I highly recommend to anyone looking for something like this for a group outing. I’m already planning when I can use them again.

Shawn was awesome. He is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Nashville history. You’ll learn a lot from him. And the food! So much and so delicious! Every bit of it! Make sure to arrive hungry. We had Nashville hot chicken, a handmade burger, smoky BBQ sandwich, homemade biscuit and banana cream milkshake. All were delicious and boy was I full! I’ll definitely look for Shawn’s tours when we return. Bravo!

Finding Neil was one of the highlights of our trip to Nashville. His bus is awesome and comfortable. He also knows a lot of great information about the area and is completely easy to work with. I highly recommend booking time with Neil. You won’t regret it!

We Hired Jenny to pick us up in Nashville to drive us to Memphis for a tour of Graceland and a stop at Beale St. The whole trip was absolutely perfect from the moment she picked us up until she dropped us off. Jenny was very knowledgably in the history and the area. She pointed out some extra things to do in Memphis we didn't know about and because of that her we extended our trip an extra day and had an amazing bonus day. We never would have thought to stay at the Bass Pro Pyramid had she not suggested it to us and all I can say is WOW! I highly recommend hiring Jenny and she comes with a 5 star from us! Thank you so much Jenny for making our trip that much better!
