- LittleMeg16South Shields, UK6 contributionsJust a very short walk from the car park where there is a nice picnic spot by the river. We saw some red squirrels and some interesting birds.Written 22 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MTN1983Edinburgh, UK53 contributionsWe regularly visit the area and the Peter Pan Park is always top of the list for places to go for our two boys (now aged 5 &8). Great variety of equipment to cater for various ages and abilities and the surrounding parkland and views are lovely too.Written 23 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Smeddum07Burghead, UK13 contributionsIs a local muesum about policing in tayside we visited during a recent trip to Kirriemuir. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. Lovely tour with fascinating local knowledge! We have a 3 month old in a pram and they where very accommodating! Will probably come back when he is school age since I can imagine children getting a lot out of it! Well worth a visit!Written 21 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KAW687London, UK1,943 contributionsHad a very warm welcome to J M Barrie's 1st home, the lady on the desk couldn't have been more helpful. It is presented very nicely. We purchased quite a lot from the shop. It was a bit disappointing not to be allowed to take photos in the house. There was time limited on street parking.Written 11 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BobDundee, UK18 contributionsNice way to spend 30 mins inside then beautiful grounds, large playpark for kids of all ages.
Hot and cold drinks and nibbles available.Written 30 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - iggyg78Ashington, UK96 contributionsA really lovely spot for a picnic. Several routes to go up. Gets a little steep in places but nothing that would worry most people. It’s a short climb but well worth it for the views. Stunning. Walked back across the top of the hills which was lovely too looking down on Glam Clova. Only thing I would have liked is an info board with some pictures of the inside of the monument as you can’t get in to have a look. However the views were stunning.Written 1 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JTwardzPhiladelphia, PA39 contributionsNeat building with some cool displays, and free admittance. I enjoyed the things they had including armor and swords, and the AC/DC Bon Scott stuffWritten 5 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Nick PLichfield, UK10 contributionsI can`t write an actual view as never stayed here, however my mother lived in Lintraethen for many years, and during every visit i made sure to drive past to see how the resoration was going on. Looking good.Written 13 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- macedonboyGlasgow, UK156,914 contributionsThis statue in the centre of Kirriemuir is a nice reminder that James Matthew Barrie was born in this town. The statue depicts our eponymous hero standing on a tree stump, playing a flute (though not the pan flute as far as I could tell). Love it. I can never get tired of Peter Pan.Written 16 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- macedonboyGlasgow, UK156,914 contributionsThis plaque is in honour of Ronald Belford "Bon" Scott, a member of the rock band AC/DC, was born in Forfar and spent his childhood in Kirriemuir. As it’s a commemorative plaque, it’s definitely more for the fans than the casual individual. I’m always happy to hear of Scots who do well for themselves though. The stone plaque is embedded as one of the paving stones on Cumberland Close.Written 16 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Michael sKirriemuir, UK12 contributionsThis place was a life saver for me and my wee boy during lockdown and after.
You can make use of the three hides to watch a wide range of birds (managed to spot the marsh harriers and a tawny owl). You can also spot red squirrels and now even beavers. The early evening is the best time to spot them.
If you fancy a walk, go to your right after entering the car park and you can walk either to the lily pond area or all the way back to Kirriemuir via the Kirriemuir path network.Written 25 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - DivadollyAngus, UK196 contributionsThere's a great park for the kids and picnic tables. There's toilets there as well. There's a car park across from the entrance to the den.
