We had no idea! We have not traveled this way, ever, so what a surprise to come across this park on a beautiful summer day. We had plans to check it out but didn't realize all it offered, even with having done some research. We drove in and just enjoyed the tree cover and natural beauty of the area. We chose a spot to pull over and have our lunch and enjoyed watching boats come and go while feeling a lovely summer breeze cool us off. We checked out that Perry Monument and got our own chairs to just sit under some trees and relax for a while. We also stopped at the Lighthouse and toured that. Beautiful views. For us, this was a hidden gem that we discovered.

The water park was clean and well run. Lacked shade unless you rent a cabana, but decent water slides and a nice wave pool. Amazing spray park and ship battle area for younger kids.

This zoo is so easy to walk through. Great selection of animals and well arranged. No problem if you're pushing a wheelchair around, you can still see everything. Snack bar has an adequate selection and is priced reasonably. Excellent zoo, no issues.

We stopped here during a recent (and first time visit) to Erie. My dh wanted to see the USS Niagra, but unfortunately, it was not in port while we visited. We did enjoy the museum, which starts with a short film, and the docent we had added a lot of interesting and helpful information while the film played. There is a lot of information and displays. For a non-maritime person it was a bit all too much for me, but I read as much as I could and enjoyed the exhibits. If this is of interest to you, it is a good place to go.

  • The park itself was great. The holiday inn it’s attached to has some issues. If visiting try one of the other hotels or stay offsite.

We spent quite a while here, watching a film, checking out all the exhibits and information. We enjoyed going up the tower and getting a view of the area. Highly recommend it for families with children, no matter their age.

While homes and businesses are just a few minutes away, you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere at this park. It was so quite and peaceful. The trails we walked weren't difficult, fairly flat. Highly recommend if you are visiting Erie.

The tower has an elevator to the top so great for people with wheelchairs and strollers. The view was really nice and we even got to see the scallywags pirate adventure from above. We were lucky and got to go on a free day. I wouldnt see why it would be worth 6.00 to ride up and walk in a circle and come back down.

I enjoy visiting lighthouses, this particular trip seeing the lighthouses adjoined to the inn keepers homes was rather interesting. The accessibility to climb the lighthouse from inside the home was nice. Not a lot of history items to be seen. Good tour though.

Enjoyed ourselves but could not win anything. I like when you can win a little just to keep you playing for a while. Hate when my money disappears too fast, but hey I go there with what I am willing to lose because that is what usually happens but if I win great!!

What a great night out. Recently attended a Wednesday night game and loved the experience. We went as a couple during a road trip through Erie and stopped for a game. Great baseball, well presented in a clean and lovely stadium. I Can”t say enough positives. Pretty field, exciting baseball, the time out events which included a hot dog race, some tortilla making, Bubble soccer and quizzes were fun and entertaining. Great family event and great value, ( although beer prices were a tad high) . Spouse had the Philly cheese steak and I had the hotdog, then a second. Tortillas were good too. I love minor league baseball and this was well done.

Wow! An actual mall with lots of stores still operating. Even the few stores we saw that were empty were decorated/disguised in a way that didn't detract from the rest of the mall. So many ghost malls these days - nice to see one still going.

Good overall experience. My daughter really enjoyed the pizza shop, which had a lot of fun pieces to build the pies. I was impressed by how nice the grocery store was. That was my favorite part.
The downside was that the basement was closed off. And with a 3 floor attraction, having 1/3 closed was disappointing.
