We visited on the last day of full opening. There are fields of colourful dahlias, beautiful to see, labelled with the name. There is a small gift shop, there are plans to have a larger shop and more facilities. Food was available, however the queue was very long. Instead we bought ice creams from the shop. There is an area where new varieties are being trialled, very interesting. Plenty of room for children to run about, dogs welcome too.

I have been intrigued by it as I’ve driven by it a couple times and finally took the time to take a little tour.

I found this memorial very touching and informative. It is small enough that you can pay a visit even if you don’t have a lot of time.

There is a number you can dial to follow along with a audio tour. The info is posted on the wall on the west side of the memorial. The audio tour is part of Oregon’s Mt. Hood Heritage Trail series. It is # 9 in the series. Text “hood” to 57682 & followed the link to the mobile site.

While I was there, and there was a man lovingly doing some repair work there.
He clearly has devotion and dedication to this memorial.
He was also kind enough to take a picture of me and my dog with Telnet statue with the three soldiers.

Thank you veterans for your service and for all of those that are dedicated to caring for this memorial.

My daughter and I took our three grandsons for a day of picking blueberries at Morning Shade Farm. They have buckets with plastic bags, so we didn’t need to take our own containers, which was nice. They have a number of different varieties, so we were able to select what we REALLY wanted.......and were able to fill our buckets with huge berries!

Fun day for all of us!

Su and Dan have done a lot to make this a very interesting sheep farm to visit. And you can even buy some while your there. Go and enjoy their critters and hospitality.

We always get our strawberries here. The fields are clean, so you aren't digging around weeds to find the berries. Reasonable prices, and very helpful staff!

We took our 4 year old granddaughter to ride the train and pick out a pumpkin yesterday. She had a blast! The train ride had some fun Halloween/harvest scenes set up along the trip which included a couple of tunnels. First stop was to pet some farm animals. The lady driving the train was very good with our granddaughter and another little boy, the only two kids on our train. She was very patient and explained about the animals they were viewing or petting. Next stop was a huge hay pyramid. It was a real hit! I would definitely recommend this place for families though the ticket price was a little steep. The price was $7 for adults, $5 for kids. We just decided it was worth it to support a small family farm.

Last year we went there on the Lavender tour. Wow what a neat place. We actually live not to far but this would be a great place to come to from Portland. Wonderful layout and many different lavender's, herbs and specialty plants.

I started coming here at the end of last season. Bring my own kart. Great place although they could use food stand and a parts and service department. Excellent track and the other drivers are willing to give advice.
