Staying in Northwich with a free morning, opted to visit the Lion Salt Works Museum just outside of town.
Well signposted with free parking, so easy to find.
Very good museum for £7 on self-guided tour of salt mining and subsidence in the local area.
Only issue was a lot of the interactive displays didn't work - but the front desk staff said they would look into it!
    Nice morning out.

We went on a day coach trip to the garden festival 26th June 2022. Entrance to the house was included however the house was not open due to lack of staff.
I enjoyed the grounds and did spend four hours looking round, this did include the plant fair, which I personally found lacking, maybe it was due to just starting back up after covid. They had a few stalls to buy things such as fudge which I would have gladly bought, but upon looking it was not covered and lots of little midges on it. shame as they had some lovely flavours.
They also did tours and talks of the gardens, which I would have loved to do but again the timing was not suitable to the time we had to leave, maybe they could check what time most coaches are leaving and run the tours to suit the timing of this.
Neither of us had walking problems but I did see people in wheelchairs having difficulty getting around in some areas and I would imagine if raining their problems would become worse, and do not think that they would be able to get around the woodland walk which was lovely.
I did have a great day, it is well worth a visit and the gardens are lovely, you could visit at anytime of the year and see something in bloom. Just a shame the house was not open but cant be helped.

The car parking fee was horrendous.
Anything over 2hours is £8 which is very steep, shame because it was a nice place to visit.

I've reviewed the restaurant separately. Relatively small but beautiful formal gardens. We enjoyed the woodland walk which was very quiet

When we were there the lights and atmosphere were truly something to behold. A picturesque set up that was not overly ‘Christmassy’ but still festive feeling.

The downsides were that the map was not clear, so when the path was 2-way we felt a bit confused. The cost seemed overpriced for the event itself especially when comparing to the effort of the Harry Potter forbidden forest experience for example.

Overall - not a perfect experience, but still a positive and enjoyable way to spend a Christmas evening.

Spontaneously rang on Monday to book an experience at Stockley Birds of Prey for the weekend. From the moment I spoke to Gary he could not have been any more helpful and hospitable. Gary was able to accommodate my fiancée and I by rearranging his own personal commitments.

The experience itself was outstanding. Gary is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his exceptionally well cared for birds. You can clearly see the welfare of the birds is paramount to Gary and the aviaries are well kept in good standards.

Fantastic day out and would recommend to anyone. We will definitely be returning - thank you Gary!

Excellent Raptor experience, the staff were very informative and really took the time to go through the details of the birds. It wasn’t rushed, really good value for money and the handler ensured we all got lots of time each of the birds.

    Highly recommend!

Just had a fantastic trip here! Had a meerkat experience booked as a Christmas present and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely go back adn do it all over again! Such amazing value for money and not only do you get an up close and personal experience with the meerkats, which is oh so cute! But you also get to learn about and see some of their birds on site who you also get to hold, cuddle and feed!! Ranger was lovely Nd so passionate and made the whole experience even more valuable. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back and do it all over again!! What a treat.

We visited Wild shore today as a mixed ability group of 4 and not only did we have a great time but also the staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful and the facility on the whole was excellent. We would definitely return on the future and highly recommended this centre. Thank you.

They accommodated a large family tea party in the cafe garden in a most friendly and helpful way. It is a lovely place. I would like to go back and explore properly another time.

Really enjoyed a couple of hours at the Weaver Hall. Went to see if I could find out more about the working lives of boatmen on the River Weaver as I have family links from the mid 1800's. This aspect not covered but the history of the boatyards and the salt industry well covered without being too much. Some great photos and artefacts too. There is much more from earlier times and my other half was much impressed by the roman helmet found locally. We also enjoyed the short introductory film about the workhouse in the retro cinema

Vickersway Park is a beautiful park set in the natural surroundings of Northwich town. The park is very well maintained, pretty flowers align the different routes.

This park has a lot to offer, you can play tennis, golf and bowls all for a small hire fee. Staff are friendly and very nice.

Thank you for a wonderful visit.

The owner of this nursery is one of the most knowledgeable plantsmen I have ever met . He is capable of being acerbic but usually in response to poor customer behaviour . I have been visiting this nursery for years as the plants are exceptional and it is refreshing to be able to buy simply plants which is what a nursery is for . Here , you will be given excellent advice from a true plantsman who clearly reacts kindly to those who are interested .Today I witnessed a young woman who was planning her first garden , being nurtured through the rudiments by the owner and who left the nursery full of enthusiasm and gratitude
There is always another way of looking at negative comments b
