- Claudia R6 contributionsPunta de Mita is only worth it if you visit the marietas islands. We took the bus from Sayulita and unless you are a surfer o paddle board there is nothing else to do. We took a tour to the islands which are a National Park so the visits are restricted but it’s worth it . We also rented a surf board for our son who had a great time and we rented a boat which took us out to Marrietta islands for a couple of hours. I booked a private sprinter van because we had 2 large surfboard bags in our group and it was easier that way. Salvador was very responsive and easy to work with in setting up the trip. Manuel the driver was very professional and was waiting for us at the airport and he was on time when picking us at the hotel for our departure. Manuel was our guide and marine biologist and was able to answer any and all questions we had (in perfect English). Josue was his instructor and was a great fit and knowledgeable instructor. We were very pleased with the experience and our son learned a lot, gained confidence and a new love for surfing. Highly recommend. They have a photographer who takes pictures included in the coat of the lesson. We were provided a link to the pictures which were great but didn’t realize the link expired in one week. - Lisa B1 contributionMy daughters took surf lessons and had a great time with Gio and Jose. They were patient, excellent instructors, and helped them have a great time. One of my daughters is tall and not as coordinated, so some sports are harder for her. However, they helped her get up, and she was so proud of herself and happy with her experience that she wants to do it again. I took lessons with them years ago and felt the same--they make it fun, and make sure that you understand what you're doing, then help you be successful and surf! I highly recommend them. I ended up taking both one and two boat trips with Bryan and Aram each day for the rest of my stay in Punta Mita. These highly competent dudes were super commited and passionate about getting me as many waves as possible, resulting in hands down some of the absolute best surf I’ve experienced in my 35 years of surfing.
Also Enrique, Libby and Chuey, Jon and JP and Chano, what an awesome crew.
Just hanging out with these guys is by itself an incentive to return to Punta Mita.

This is my second time returning to the area and I made sure to take another lesson with him. I'm a beginner but I've learned so much from him! - Susan OHendersonville, TN127 contributionsWe booked private one-on-one surf lessons for my 17-year-old daughter and husband last month and Alex and Alejandro were their instructors. They were both amazing! For having ever been on surfboards in their lives, we were so impressed with the lessons and amazed that both my husband and daughter could actually stand up and surf by the end of the lesson! Highly, highly recommend these two. We also hired the WildMex photographer and she got some fun shots of the two of them. - GreatEscape7Lake Ozark, MO12 contributions4 Couples, We fished with 2boats, Ladies on one and the Guys on the other. Hate to admit it but the Ladies won this one with a Sailfish, caught and released, but photos to prove it. Guys caught a few Dorado for supper. Both boats and Captains were superb.
Guys went out another day and caught lots of Mahi so we ate all we wanted and froze the rest to take home to the states.
Can’t say enough good things about Elme and Captain Saul, I’ve fished with them maybe a dozen times and they never let us down.
