- Mary A15 contributionsWe had a very nice stay. I think you need to keep in mind the general density of the NY area, this park is large and has many many spots for camping and RV hook ups. From our tidy little RV slot it was about a half mile walk down paved roads inside the state park to the beach. It is a rocky beach, bring water shoes, but lovely and clean, we watched a beautiful sunset. There seemed to be a lot of people fishing.
Nearby there are many great farm stands and their is a pick your own peaches farm right on the road outside the park.
Folks had some parties with music and lights outside their RVs but it was quiet and dark by 10 pm and no issues in the morning, kids around with scooters and bikes.
It was a nice weekend.Written August 3, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Grab a Ice Cream at Tweets or a coffee or like the kids or grand kids take a ride on the carousel.Written August 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - George DLevittown, NY40 contributionsThe course is challenging but the greens are very unfair. The fairways are very tight. We had a coupon to play the course for $ 20.00. The foursome in front of us took forever to putt out and the threesome behind us hit into us three times. After the 5th hole it was not enjoyable and we drove off the course after the 15th hole. No rangers at all and will most likely never play the course again. I'm sorry to say even if it was free golf.Written October 18, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Love2TravelDeer Park, NY1,698 contributionsMom and I were spending an overnight at the Inn at East wind taking advantage of a spa package. We saw that the shops at the Inn at East wind we’re having a fall festival so we walked around the shops. We came across cheese and spice market. It was Liam’s third day and he was so attentive. He asked questions when he didn’t understand. He provided service with a smile. The store itself carries at least two dozen types of cheese. It carries several types of meats. It carries crackers including gluten-free. It includes jelly including fig. Anything that you need to put together for an appetizer tray.Written October 2, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Suzeq711Long Island, NY7 contributions7 of us had the pleasure of going for the Spatini Overnight package. There was some confusion about the actual check in date however that was resolved with a phone call. Our rooms were dated but clean. Bathrooms were clean as well. The Spa personnel were accommodating and we all LOVED our massages and 2 had facials. Our dinner at Desmond’s was very good and our waiter, Raiz (?) was awesome. Rob, manager was also ensuring we were enjoying our stay. In all, our experience was very enjoyable.Written January 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
