- noelleirlCork, Ireland46 contributionsI did 2 days diving with Odyssea with Blessings and Jorge. The diving around 2 mile reef is amazing: turtles, sharks, rays, octopus, morays, etc etc etc. We saw dolphins and dugongs on the trip to the dive site.
Gear was all in good order. Lunch, water and dry bags are provided.
The boat is a bit compact and I needed help getting back in after diving (no ladder) but I think this type of boat is standard for the area due to the shallow waters.

From the first contact at the booking stage to our departure, we were blown away by the holiday. Stunning location, superbly schooled horses, sensational food, great people and happy holiday memories that I still dream of.

Company management met us back on shore and drove me to and from a clinic where I received immediate attention. They made sure I was taken care of, and their insurance policy covered the cost of everything. - Ellē1 contributionI went kiting with Andre. I had never been kiting before and he offered clear instruction and hands on learning which made me feel very safe in many different wind conditions. He was personable and receptive to my learning pace, and I had a really great time. 10/10 recommend him as an instructor. The school had many different kites and quality equipment for different conditions. - Miles K23 contributionsWe stayed for four nights and we’re really sad to leave, we had a 2 room bungalow which was really spacious with two bathrooms and a big balcony and full kitchen.
We did not kitesurf but spoke to people who did and were very happy with the service.
The manager Dalton was super helpful and all the staff were really friendly.
The location is good with the Boabab bar and restaurant 5 min walk along the beach for near by meals. We walked 15 mins into the central market or dalton will arrange Tuk tuks.

Jay's Canoe trip starts from his magical piece of paradise, situated right on the Govuru river, there's nowhere else quite like it in Mozambique.
If you're staying in or near Vilankulo, you must go on a Canoe trip with Jay, there is nothing he doesn't know about the local flora and fauna, he is an expert guide, and a really nice guy!

Nelio, the owner is a very good guy, the communication with him was easy and eficient. He organized for us a kind of private tour to Bazaruto, Berenguera and 2 mile reef. We're only 4 people at the boat, another couple and us, appart from the tripulation(Osbaldo, the captainamd guide, Arnaldo, the cooker and Josue, the guitarrist), normally they go with 8 people.
Osbaldo is a very good guy, he saw dolphins and 1 dugongo on the way, such an incredible view he has! Osbaldo saw one turtle on snorkelling in 2 mile reef, and Josue played the guitar very well while we were having lunch. The lunch was great! Fresh fish, seefood, rice, beans, salad, pinneaple and bananas. Beverages were including.
We've spent such a nice time. We recommend 100% moz islands and safaris! Our day with Traditional Dhow Safaris in Vilanculos was nothing short of spectacular! From start to finish, the experience was flawlessly organized and truly one of a kind. Sailing on the traditional dhow was both serene and exhilarating, offering breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters and pristine coastline.
The crew was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had the best experience. And the food—oh, the food! Fresh, delicious, and full of local flavors, it was the perfect complement to the day’s adventures.
What made the trip truly special was the authenticity of the dhow and the way the experience felt so connected to the natural beauty of the region.
