- Aaron ShelbyAbu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates454 contributionsMy family and I stopped by during our road trip to Lincoln during summer 2023. The garden was immaculate. We enjoyed our leisurely visit and appreciated the wide variety of flowering plants along with the animals living in the park. You wouldn't even know you were right in the middle of the city if you weren't familiar with the area. This is a hidden treasure for Lincoln and the state of Nebraska - Make sure you visit!Written April 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MominOCOrange County, CA4,991 contributionsWe arrived on a Sunday so only the grounds were available. Our impression was the structure had the famous Empire state building feel architecture-wise. Not as grand as the Des Moines capitol building that we saw earlier in the day. Grounds small and clean but after previous stop it is uneventful.Written July 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cenztOhio19,295 contributionsGood trip. We arrived at approximately 12 pm and made our way inside the zoo. After paying the admission fee, we started to explore the zoo. The zoo was on the smaller side, but did contain a decent amount of animals, along with plenty of fun activities to do with children. There were informational plaques located all throughout the zoo, that contained information on the animals we were seeing in front of us. The animals were out and about on the day that we went, and we were able to snap some great pictures.

After paying $12 for 2 seniors, we took the elevator to the 3rd floor to see its few hanging quilts and doll bed quilts, discovering the 2nd floor contains the 4 main exhibit galleries.
-One lady’'s series of 60” x 60” quilts in red.
-NE State Fair winning quilts.
-NYC Quilt Guild’s Challenge of nineteen, 40” x 40” quilts
-Turkish Yorgan(quilt) display of ~20 large pieces.
A side gallery exhibited ~20 smaller quilts called “Second Chances”.
This is a worthwhile museum as we enjoy seeing new and historic quilts having some idea of the intensive planning and work involved in their creation.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots for kids as well.Written June 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CarolFromDallasDallas, TX119 contributionsReally great park and people. We visited the nature centers and talked with the staff and then hiked around the park. Grass, plants and land were just amazing. The buildings house several exhibits of living and preserved animal, plant and geological artifacts along with descriptions that tell about their place in the local natural landscape. The volunteers were also very knowledgable and we had enjoyable conversations with them about the current season, the migrations, and commonalities and differences in the Nebraska prairie ecological regions versus our own native regions. Highly recommend.Written August 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HuskerTraveler2Lincoln, NE1,194 contributionsClassic university stadium which has been added to and updated several times over the 100+ years. Seating is generally quite tight with legroom at a premium on mostly benches. Restrooms are quite large, but are in need of updating. Club and box seating are very nice with very nice amenities. Video boards and sound system are about as modern as can be expected. Walk ticket purchase is virtually non-existent.
Parking is found throughout the nearby downtown and surrounding campus. The Haymaket is less than 4 blocks away, replete with many bars, restaurants and parking facilities.Written September 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Three full floors of activities. A cute bank, dentist, vet, restaurant, Hyvee store, and so much more. Not many staff around for “clean up” so a little disorganized in a few places. But would def recommend! - scott rSilver Spring, MD769 contributionsThe building itself has a lot of square footage and an impressive lobby hall, but not so much space available for the art itself. The art is mostly designed 'to make you think' which is a good thing - but a lot of it is pushing the same POV - about what one can expect from a University campus. Mind you, some of it is amusing, appropriately sardonic and actually good as well. Some of it just pushes instead - perhaps you could just atone once and be done? Having said that, there's bound to be some pieces that move you, and for this it's certainly worth a stop. Open late Friday's so fits in nicely at the end of a day. Rotating exhibits, presently transitioning to something new - so you never know what you may find.Written July 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cenztOhio19,295 contributionsGood trip. We arrived at approximately 5 pm and made our way inside the park. The trail was relatively easy, and consisted of walking on a flat surface for a majority of the walk. The trail took us around the lake and provided sweeping views of the water.

Free parking. The stadium is a wraparound concourse as most newer stadiums. The baseball is good, the concessions are standard ballpark fare. There are excellent choices in beer from the cheap stuff to the craft beers. The between innings entertainment is fun. All in all how can ya go wrong.
