Great visit and a lot of art to view. Enjoyed the trip to the museum and the Matisse exhibit as well as the Egyptian exhibit were both amazing.

Beautiful facility to showcase art. "Joe" on the outside is the Foundation's major icon. The exhibits that we saw was a modern one that featured Faye HeavyShield. She was commissioned by the Foundation to develop 2 pieces concerning ecology and Native American history within the St. Louis area and another exhibition concerning Medieval Art and it's impact on the environment. The latter certainly is not a typical topic and it is thought provoking.

    Very good experience.

It is a small art museum, but it gave me some feeling that I never experience before. I like it very much!

it is in the Grand St. arts district, so if you are walking to see the Fox Theater, it is nearby. a small space with intimate settings for art. they have varied exhibits of cutting-edge work. staff are friendly and helpful. visiting was an unexpected pleasure.

likely not really a place for kids: some of the art can be difficult and provocative. for some, the visit might be less than an hour, but for me it was a bit longer, as the current exhibits are interesting.

This museum has a powerful permanent canvas sculpture and a thought provoking rotating collection. The religious aspect of the art is subtle. The artwork is powerful.

The St. Louis University (SLU) Museum of Art was a very interesting place with a variety of Art, Artifacts, Seminaries room displays displays. The museum has four floors. 4th floor was closed. 3rd floor displays are related to religious artifacts, clothing from the Jesuit and their work with the Native American in mid 1800s, mainly Ft. DeSmet and his missionary interaction and their rights the rights of the NAs. 2nd floor is modern art, 1st floor contains photos of the faculty & history. Start at top floor down.

We almost missed the Mosaic Museum in the basement of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. Glad that we noticed it and spent a bit of time there. The museum highlighted the approach used in cutting and placing the 41.5 million mosaic tiles in the cathedral. Very informative.
