The only bad experience we had was having a family with 4 very unruly, crying children right behind us. The theatre does offer a “family room” for family with kids not being quiet but this particular family did not utilize it and tortured everyone around them. - jeanalyonBrockton, MA100 contributionsThis museum is good for adults and kids. We did the normal audio tour. This is also a very sad historical event so it would be strange to say we had fun. But it was very informative, very well put together, and there were docents throughout who were knowledgeable and friendly. I didn't even realize this cave was part of Silver Dollar City. We did the lantern tour and our tour-guide, Brian, was hilarious, engaging, knowledgeable and super friendly. The timed entry tickets are a great idea to minimize crowds, making it easier to fully enjoy the experience. The facility is spotless, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Every exhibit is thoughtfully arranged, clean, and teeming with diverse sea life.
Highlights include the “kelp forest” climbing area for kids and adventurous adults, interactive touch pools where you can feel stingrays, sharks, starfish, and anemones, and a charming photo op at the start. The gift shop at the end is a fun touch for souvenirs.
A movie/ride at the beginning is a delightful way to start the tour, but it’s optional if you’d rather skip it. The octopus scavenger hunt added a layer of excitement—we found all but one on our first loop and had to go back to complete it. It’s a nice bonus that you can go back through as much as you’d like (as long as it’s before closing).
The one-way path through the aquarium ensures you don’t miss anything, but one improvement could be better signage. Some tanks only have a few species listed, even though there are many more inside, and one section even had an incorrect sign.
Overall, this aquarium is a fantastic experience for all ages. There is a cool mirror maze on the 1st floor and the butterfly garden is upstairs where there is also a theater and another area called the banyan tree. It can feel a little crowded at times as the walkways are narrow and there is a tiny bridge you can walk across. I enjoy my time every time I come here I also tell everyone about the show and bring more people to the show.

I ended up against a wall where it made it uncomfortable to eat. They could easily take out one table to make it more comfortable.
The show was great. Loved seeing all ages of family members performing.
