Great place to start your trip. Get all the brochures from the area. Buy tickets to walk to top of Lighthouse. Ask for restaurant suggestion list.

We stumbled upon this while in the area. I don't know if this is "must see" for the general public, but it is if you are interested in the Civil War and know something about it. The tour of the house was excellent. Our guide was knowledgeable and witty, a pure pleasure to have as a host. The collection of Civil War era weapons was impressive, as was Davis’s over-the-top catafalque. The whole experience was, however, a little surreal. First, Davis wasn't the president of anything-he was a traitor who led a failed rebellion. So what is the fiction that he merits a "presidential" library? Second, as other reviewers have correctly observed, this is an entirely revisionist version of the actual events leading up to, during, and after the Civil War. The failure to acknowledge (indeed, rejection of) slavery as a cause of the Civil War is beyond ludicrous at this late date. The Civil War was about “taxation of southern crops"? You have to be kidding. But really, that is the charm and interest of the place. It does help understand the psyche of the "lost causers" and provide some insight into today's brand of neo-confederate. This old, white, Yankee loved the joint, but don't go there knowing nothing about U.S. history. Places like this are exactly why we need critical race theory taught in schools.

We had a great overnight stay here, it’s in a perfect beachfront location with good spots nearby for food and drinks. They have plenty of options inside the hotel too, plus the big casino. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but you can see some signs of ageing on fixtures. The staff were welcoming and friendly.

Going to this, to try to get history of the area, was a great choice to make. Yes, parking was a head scratcher. We parked in front of a pavilion type building not far from the museum. My wife can't do steps. First elevator was down, but signage took us to right of buidling to another that worked. Directions to push doorbell and wait for them to open doors. Once in, ladies were really nice. Told us about third floor movie of Katrina. It was long, over an hour, but we watched entirely. Glad we came here. Wish we would have first day here. Rest of stuff is great to read and watch. But the Katrina movie itself is worth the cost of admission. Was there about 3 hours. Learned a lot. After movie we retreated back to gift shop/clerk desk. We talked of movie. She told us of her sibling families' losses from both Camilla and Katrina. After this we drove around the entire area looking with a new prospective of what they have been through. Couldn't believe how far inland they were leveled.
Again, this is a must stop, with plenty of time. We go many places and when we do, we always check out historical places. Now we know why there are so few here. We only hope the Visitor Center gets their theater movie and TVs working so it to can be a gem as others have reported.

I loved the bridges all over Biloxi. They are new and modern and gives you a view forever. Out of season, there weren't any boats on the water. It was breath taking everytime.

Nice clean beach. We were here for beach wrestling tournament and the beach was much nicer than we expected. It has been years since I’ve been to Biloxi and it really looks nice

57 steps up a spiral staircase and then a short climb up a 5 step ladder takes you to the top of the Biloxi Lighthouse. Buy your tickets across the street at the most beautiful and well-planned Visitors' Center. Read about the history of Biloxi prior to doing the lighthouse tour for a deeper understanding of the history. The lighthouse shows water levels of major hurricanes, with Katrina being the most significant in 2005.

It's a nice park and Beau Rivage is easily seen. Free parking at Beau too. Beer was $10 and hot dog was $6 and they do not accept cash; cards only.

Any chance I get to see buildings designed by Frank Geary, I don't pass it up. His architectural contributions to the campus of the Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi are on a smaller scale than most of his other buildings, but they are unmistakably Geary & provide unique housing for their small but varied art collection. My wife & I encountered no particularly noteworthy pieces of art on display during our visit, but the exhibits are thoughtfully curated & laid out in the galleries.

The primary highlight for us was Pleasant Reed Interpretive Center, which documents the life & times of the first freed slave to buy his own land in Biloxi. The displays further immerse visitors in the history of racial segregation along the Gulf Coast, which was a perspective that I had never seen presented. My wife & I both would recommend a visit to Ohr-O'Keefe just for that experience; but you should explore & admire the rest of the complex, and get a bite to eat from the friendly cafe attendant/owner.

This was the first casino we went to in Biloxi since it was across the street from our hotel, although we knew it was not a smoke free hotel we were surprised at how much it smelled cigarettes so being non smokers we didn't appreciate it that much.
