Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

There are more rooms of tropical plants in the Conservatory to enjoy and learn about, the Zoo grounds has a wonderful picnic area, a terrific little amusement park and a lovely Carousel.
The conservatory always gives off peaceful vibes, and is certainly one of a kind in the area.The surrounding park area is also incredible to have a picnic, go for a walk/run, and simply hang out.

A favorite cycling trail of mine , this trail is well maintained and gives access to many connecting trails and parks.
There are a number of places to access this trail, and often we park at the Maplewood Community Center and ride to Pine Point, the Brown's Creek Trail, or take rides into south Washington County.

One of the purest and most complete small and essential urban parks imaginable that serves many purposes depending on the schedule of events and time of day.
It has a great section for dogs that is well used by local residents and also has music in the park on Thursday evenings all summer long plus just had a great Jazz Festival there last weekend.

The view from the park is interesting in that four types of transportation dominate the scene: the Saint Paul airport, rail lines, river barges, are roads.
Harriet Island Regional Park
