It connects nicely to the Wheelway in Petoskey at the Spring Lake Park with lots of shaded parking, modern restrooms and a bike repair kiosk.

There are paved trails through the woods making it an accessible nature walk, you can see fish under the water in a stream, and a really interesting train car exhibit about historical fish planters.
The other time we went with our more outdoors focused crew and they loved the nature walk, all the wild flowers, and the "underwater observation area".

Great place to take children, the nature hike was fun, we saw some animals and there is a beach that the kids enjoyed splashing around in.
