I think you have to go here at least once. There is not a lot to see or do, but the glass bottom boat is pretty cool. There is a short easy walk to the boat. on wood boards to the pond. The water was so clear. Very cool boat, which has clear glass to see below. Short ride on boat.

A beautiful body of water that is magical and special! The woods are preserved and you walk on decking to the special body of water.
So grateful for the family and man that came up with the suggestion to sell it for $1

I've walked along the boardwalk quite a few times and enjoy it every time. It's peaceful and picturesque. This time, my daughter & family and myself parked in the designated parking lot, then walked along the beach till we found a spot to stop. It was a beautiful day, not windy, the water wasn't warm but the air was so my grandchildren swam in the lake for a bit. They especially like playing in the sand. You can get to the lighthouse from the boardwalk also. It's used by locals and tourists. I would recommend it to anyone.

This was our second time at Indian Lake State Park. The campsite was level and nice. We were not on lake access. We used the campground as our base and took a day trip to Marquette. Our Verizon cell service with internet was great.

My only wish is that this state park would get a facelift for the bathrooms/showers like some of the other Michigan State parks have gotten recently.

Love this gallery! They have lots of natural theme art from local artists. The gallery space is full of natural light and is beautiful. Definitely worth a stop to support Michigan artists.

I've lived in Manistique for over 40 years and today was the first time I visited the historical park. I was so impressed! The Post House was fantastic! So many fascinating items- some I've never seen before such as the ice box with revolving shelves and the gas stove. I've been to many museums but this has to be one of the best I've seen and even more amazing considering this is a small town. I must compliment the historical society for all the hard work. The volunteers today, Diane at the house and Sherry at the water tower were friendly and informative. There are plans to expand which will make it even better. I would recommend everyone visit, locals and tourists alike. It's free of charge but they do have a donation box .

My daughter and I checked out the lighthouse from what appears to be a new park with a very nice pavilion. It seemed like a popular lunch brake place as many people were in their cars eating. I got some pictures of the light and breakwater and the beach area at the new park had many trees along it, so it has a sort of secluded feeling. It was a nice stop.

We went in October which means not many fish to see. There were fish inside and a few in a big pond outside. We liked the yellow fishes that you follow for your self guided tour.

My friend suggested we visit here, I had never been here before (and I've lived in Manistique for almost 40 years!). There's a system of trails, over 80 acres in Manistique Township. There are several different loops with signs and benches if you want to take a rest or just stop to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are also signs explaining the different trees & plants. Bathrooms are available near the parking area. I'm so glad we went and would recommend it to anyone that wants a quiet, peaceful, enjoyable walk.

Just an average small Native American casino. I'd guess about 500 slot machines with no table games. Friendly staff. No frills slots.

There is a short path through the woods up to a platform that overlooks a very overgrown wetland. You can get glimpses of the river. The walkway was tilted and overgrown. It just looks like it wasn't being maintained very well.

This is a classic, old school public golf course. It is well maintained and has beautiful views of Indian Lake. The people were friendly and we really enjoyed playing.

i liked this course. it's only 9 holes, but they are challenging and interesting.

there is quite a bit of water. basically, every hole has water, and a lot of reeds and stuff. the fairways can be quite narrow, and they are lined with what is basically forrest. so if you don't hit the fairway, you can kiss your ball goodbye. i lost only one ball, more by luck than anything. my friend who i was golfing with lost lost at least five balls. probably more. almost one a hole it seemed like. we lost count.

the fairways have a lot of doglegs. almost no holes are straight into the great wide open fairway. most of them have some sort of water hazard that protrudes out into your line of fire. the 8th hole in particular has a ridiculous amount of water going out into the fairway, so you have to drill a perfect shot about 200 yards--but not too far, or it'll go into another pond. then you have to hit it over that pond to the green.

if you hit a lot of worm burners, or your drives are unpredictable, you're going to lose some balls. you just are. there's forrest alongside every fairway, and most fairways have a water hazard. some have multiple water hazards.

that being said, i liked this course. pretty challenging. definitely different. tons of water hazards. but very interesting, in a fun way.

two things i didn't like about it was the unusual amount of bugs that buzzed my head all round. they were kind of obnoxious.

i also thought it was a little pricey for nine holes.

in general, though, i liked it.

We popped in today during our afternoon in Manistique. The shop was fantastic and held unique gifts we had not seen in the typical tourist shops.
    Worth a visit!!
