Across the parking lot you can also take a hike to the Salt Pond Nature Trail (you will see a driveway with an arrow indicating the trail).

I liked that it was closed to vechiles due to nesting birds, that way we could see nature and hear the waves crashing and enjoy the stroll!!!
Just find a place to park and pop open your trunk.
