- amanda gDurham, CT375 contributionsWe enjoyed this beach a lot w our kids. It is perfect at low tide. The water is crystal clear w no seaweed!! The only caution is there is a lot of rocks on the beach. If u go at low tide u can walk past them 2 the smooth sand as we did. It cost $25 for parking on the holiday weekend. There is a bathhouse and snack station on site.Written May 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Diane SBarnstable, MA66 contributionsClaire gave a wonderful tour of this fantastic house and gave interesting insight into the paintings, panels, and history of the inhabitants. I am so glad I went and recommend the tour. The rooms are beautiful and the views out to sea are fantastic!Written July 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tsrlmomNew London, CT49 contributionsWhat a great little hidden gem! Lots of local artists and different mediums. A little spot for kids to create and some beautiful sculpture gardens to walk through. Wish I had known about this year's ago!Written June 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nana111 contributionsI enjoyed our tour today. John and Priscilla were my 9th great grandparents. The house and grounds are beautiful and well cared for. I loved seeing the artifacts. Our tour guide was so passionate about telling the Alden family story as well.Written October 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul HDuxbury, MA10 contributionsCatch it on a weekend when it is open. Views are pretty spectacular. Can see the Cape and North to Scituate. Nice place to picnic when the weather is good. Road to the top is a good place to practice hill climbing on bike or foot.Written November 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SeverusAlexanderHopkinton, MA556 contributionsMy wife and I took this tour and very much enjoyed the great history and facts provided by not the only the displays but also the exceptional tour guide. She had exceptional knowledge of the family, local history, and was glad to answer any questions. Recommend adding this house to your tour of the Duxbury area.Written August 5, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gabriel BBoston, MA117 contributionsHidden gem ~45 minutes from Boston, right off Route 3, lots of birds, dogs must be on leashes, good hiking, biking, 2 large lookout platforms, ~3 miles around the loop trail. From Mayflower St Parking, the half of the trail to the left (clockwise) is a very fast and flat walk mostly right along the water. The 2nd half of this trail, from the cranberry bog/golf course area back to the Pine Grove/lookout area is very hilly, and about an hour, with many long ways around rather unscenic inlets. Lots of bird activity and quiet woods walking, very few other people, plenty of parking at Round Pond lot almost right across the street from the Duxbury Conservation lot. Trails are blazed and with occasional markers, but no maps inside property, take a picture with you.Written April 5, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ZloLynnfield, MA6 contributionsExtensive menu and one of our favorites was the Island creek oysters that are harvested right here! The staff are so kind and the food did not take long to come out.Written October 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Venue was beautiful, so many gathering areas -porches, lawn, patio and of course beautiful upstairs room with windows all around overlooking beautiful harbor.Written August 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ShawnPatrickMoloneyPembroke, MA163 contributionsSportworks is a taste of the old school world where you can go in and ask a question and someone on the staff can answer it for you. The store is a really good mix of items with clothing, ski stuff, sunglasses, Yeti, tennis gear, lacrosse, and so much more. One really interesting thing they do is rentals.
For rentals they have both summer and winter gear. For winter they have both ski and snowboard for both short and long term rentals. They also have all the gear for sale as well. In the summer they rent paddle-boards, fat tire bikes, and lots of other fun toys to enjoy the summer season. Make sure to pop in and check them out.Written November 7, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
