I believe one of the best tours and tastings, I've had. The staff is fabulous and really takes care of you the whole time. The space is great to hang out and have a couple drinks. They also have a great selection in their gift shop. You will definitely find something to take home.

What a wonderful, fun experience. The prices are very reasonable, the different attractions are so much fun. We spent all day here and really didn't want to leave when we had too. This is definitely a fall experience you want to go too. The staff are friendly not very helpful, though. Fun time had by all, so don't miss out.

The antique shop and boutique were great and the nutrition shop is a great place to get a fresh smoothie. The Hobby shop was great!

It was a quick self tour as we went on Sunday and the heritage center was closed. Good history information on the plaques.

Our family with kids age 5-12 went to Tie Breakers on a Friday afternoon. Easy to get to from Clarksville, TN. Cheap admission price. Snack bar was reasonable as well. Two larger slides with height requirement, lazy river, water playground area with slides. Park is clean, bathrooms were okay but could've been cleaner. Lazy river was broken and was extra lazy. Overall good value for money. Kids enjoyed for
    three hours. We'll be back.

Lovely, well kept cemetery. Historic info signs near the front of the property were very informative. Quiet, peaceful.

The best time to visit Jeffers Bend is in September during their Nature Fest where they offer multiple family activities such as canoe rides, archery & disc golf, hay rides, alpaca petting, mini horses, storytelling, recycling & poster contest, soil tunnel, children & butterfly gardens, bubble station, outdoor skills training, nature carnival, pumpkin painting, and more. There are also food vendors and door prizes offered and admission is one fee per vehicle or bus so you can get the whole family in cheap! They also offer a "Take Kids Fishing Day" in the spring, usually around the end of May, for those who would enjoy it and it's only a couple dollars per person. They offer prizes also for the smallest, largest, etc. fish.

The visitor center staff is very helpful and has a lot of information regarding Hopkinsville. It’s a fun visit and you can get your picture taken in a big bowl of batter. The town also has a wheat sheaves statue downtown to reinforce wheat’s importance to their town and a stack of pancakes statue at the museum. The Center also tells you about the Batter Capital, the Trail of Tears exhibit, how the idea for the the movie E.T originated there. Great suggestions for local restaurants too.

TLDR; if you're within an hour's drive, check out the website and see what's happening at the Alhambra - you won't regret it!

The Alhambra Theater is a great anchor for downtown Hopkinsville. It's a historic building, dating from 1928, but has been recently renovated. It's large inside, but still small enough that even if you're at the back the stage isn't too far away. There are very few undesirable seats (maybe just avoid the ones right next to the sound booth). A small concession booth offers drinks and snacks. The restrooms are interesting and a bit incongruous - they're decorated in a black and gold Art Deco-ish motif that you don't expect.

The local Pennyroyal Arts Council runs the theater and seems to do a good job of bringing in good performers. I went and saw a country singer-songwriter team (with a small back-up orchestra - awesome!) that was part of the LIVE at the Alhambra series and very much enjoyed it. They also periodically show classic movies.

The theater and the Arts Council could probably step up their marketing game a bit. They've got a good Instagram presence, but as of this review the theater remains "unclaimed" on Yelp and I just created this TripAdvisor listing. Unfortunately, I think a large part of the demographic for a local theater probably isn't super Instagram-literate. I stopped by the Hopkinsville Brewing Company after the show and even the younger folks I chatted with had no idea about what was going on over at the theater, despite being very interested and enthusiastic when I described the show I had just attended.

While on our way to an appointment, we wanted to allow time to finally visit the museum (of which there are two). We chose the one located in the old post office. I love the old buildings with a lot of granite and steps and columns and high ceilings. The architecture was very interesting.

There was a lot of history represented and recognition of various people and families. We made it a point to make sure we saw it all. They even had a quilt on an old frame and you could sit down and sew a few stitches. There was an old time postal drawer and you could time yourself to put the envelopes in the correct locales.

If I had to criticize it for any reason, it was a little too dark to see everything clearly.
I did like the corner up front where they had two shelves of books relating to Christian County, Edgar Cayce, the tobacco war, and other communities. I ended up buying a special project put together because I found a picture of a 2nd great uncle and the house he lived in so the visit was very good for me.
I am also returning to visit the other museum up the street that focuses on fire and transportation history.
