- Tom BEdina, MN4 contributionsVery relaxing and enjoyable vineyard. Staff (family owners) very friendly and welcoming. Great service. You can tour the vines or just sit and sample the many varieties produced. Dog friendly. Wine "to go" is reasonably priced.
There isn't a lot of things to do in Lawrence (and we have done them all), and this is definitely a top 10 thing to do in Lawrence. It is not listed as a "Lawrence activity" in trip advisor but it should be. Eudora is a small town off the highway, so you can't miss the brewery and parking is easy. The brewery itself was very nicely decorated, cozy, with a nice bar. I ordered a flight and a few extra samples and was pleasantly surprised with some of the beers. I did like the ginger beer and the Black IPA best. They even had a variety of mead on tap that were fun to try. The bartender that night was friendly and we had some interesting conversations. - RobL512 contributionsYou know that expression "helpful smile", well that applies to Quilting Bits & Pieces in Eudora Kansas. This is a quilt shop that makes you want to hurry back. Tips are offered on any twilling or quilting or machine quilting or fabric selection questions you may have. Talking about fabric selection, I never had any idea there were more than 60 shades of green until I walked into this quilt fabric store where there are thousands of quilt fabric bolts to choose from. They even have some pre-cut fat quarters to choose from. Quilting Bits & Pieces also displays quilt samples of local quilt artists to help quilters get some ideas for quilts as well as show landmarks of Kansas such as "Churches of Douglas County" and "Mile 143" by Of One Mind, a local Eudora Quilt Pattern company. The teachers specialize in astanga asana, yoga traditions and cultures of India, such as meditation, pranayama, yoga sutras, sanskrit and kirtan.
