This is a modern built church, full of character and history, it is in an open cave like site, it has many icons carved into the rock and is huge, there were guides and they were very helpful

Lots of climbing to do this and the views from the entry are great (see the Middle Kingdom pyramids you cannot visit) with views clear to Giza on a clear day.
