From the bartenders to Dennis our tour guide everyone we engaged with was friendly and welcoming. Dennis shares his wealth of knowledge during the 45min tour and then walks the group through a few samples at the end. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed spending time in Galena learning more about our 18th president, how he came to live in Galena and more about his home. What a wonderful treasure and really a steal for only $5. The tour guides are simply lovely and, again, I learned so much. I'm glad this historic site still exists and that we're allowed to tour it. I would imagine it gets crowded but I'm glad I was there on a Sunday morning with no crowd. Highly recommend for fellow presidential history buffs like me.

A solid hour of magic, humor and pure entertainment in an intimate 25 seat setting. Patrick is a wonderful entertainer. We thoroughly enjoyed this show, and are still amazed at how he was able to repeat everyone’s name in the audience!

I thought the museum had some good exhibits there and they had a little film presentation about Ulysses S. Grant.

Nice park across the river from the town. Interesting collection of canons. The glass protection over then descriptions of each was cracked though so a bit hard to read. Nice shady place to stroll and take a break.

This was a nice waterfall for those who like to view different sites. The parking lot was really small so it seems like the intent is to go take quick view and then head back to your vehicle to allow others time to view the falls.

Amazing place for a family weekend getaway!
The lodging is right next to the slopes.
The resort offers a variety of slope levels.

This place is so beautiful and peaceful. It has plenty of parking and also accessible parking. There are lots of boards explaining the area, very educational. There are a couple of pathways, one of which is very leisurely and east. The paths are grass.

What a wonderful experience! Blacksmith Bryan is definitely an expert of his craft!! We learned so much and to watch him take a piece is steel and create an incredible work of art from start to finish was truly entertaining.

We had a very fun tour with Susan and two other couples in the afternoon on a rainy day. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the house and we had a very nice tour. She also knows a lot about Galena in general and what is going on in the town.

The eye of this photographer is amazing, and the quality of the prints shows it off very well. Great variety of scenes in and around Galena.

The tour guides were knowledgeable and told a good story. The history of the house, its builder, and how life was "back then" were interesting and entertaining. The furniture and fixtures on display ranged across multiple periods (1800's to 1960s I think). Only a couple of pieces from the original house.

There's not a lot of pamphlets/brochures, but enough to help you get around Galena and have a fun visit. The young gal at the info desk was very patient with questions w/each patron and gave lots of info.

We went to both the downtown Galena Cellars winery on Friday and Galena Cellars Vineyard on Saturday. We got lucky to get Gail as our wine server. She was amazing and we were so happy to see her again today as we continued to celebrate my birthday.🥳🎂🎁🎈 She was so friendly, funny and fun. Totally recommend both locations and so hard to choose just one favorite!!!😃🍷🍷💕Thank you for making my birthday special Gail!!

This sculpture park was an enjoyable change to the downtown area. John has quite the imagination for sculpting rusted, discarded and unusual items into art. Glad we took the time to check out the over 30 pieces on display. And it's free.
