An essential part of any trip to Yangon - the synagogue has been beautifully maintained by Sammy Samuels and family (despite a small jewish population of about 20).

Good and peaceful place to visit. Buddha statue in sitting position. Unfortunately it was under maintenance when I visited so the statue was completely covered. Enjoy the rare pics.

nice Pagoda in outskirts of Yangon. I was the only tourist there when I visited it. nobody expects foreigners, so you can see everything without being asked to pay the entrance fee. I had to wake up the fee collector on my way out, because I wanted to pay. by the way, don't use Grab taxi to get here: since Grab is not available in this area - it will ask for 5-6 times higher rate than just city taxi. also, hire taxi for a round trip (it will cost you ~10k from/to downtown), it's hard to find a free car there.

About 30 minutes outside of the city centre in a taxi - and well-worth the trip. It's a good one and in a really lovely location...

It is one of the famous pagodas in Yangon. In Kaba Aye Paya, it kept many ancient things concerning with Buddha. Car Parking is also available. You can go there by car, bus and taxi. In front of it, there is a small shopping mall.

Witness the Largest Marble Buddha being carved in ONE stone. As we know, Myanmar is rich in natural stone. This stone was carved in Mandalay and was transported via river to Yangon. A massive task.
Foreigner will need to pay 5000 kyat entrance fee. This place is just 2 Km from the Airport and can arrive within mins.

Worth a quick visit as part of seeing the Kyauk Tan Pagoda. Nothing materially stood out as different from this pagoda but might as well visit it while in the area.

Yangon's Chinatown may not be as visible as others, but Kheng Hock Keong reflects the religious life of the Chinese community in the city. The temple is a distinctively Chinese heritage with lots of worshipers. It is definitely worth a visit.

This is a Huge Cave. Nothing much to see but to see what they have used this cave for. Basically for an assembly for the buddhist councils to come together to have certain meetings. A cooling place. Can only see from the outside and not climb up and down the place. Entrance is free. There a a few attraction around the area like Kabar Aye Pagoda.

Although largely Buddhist, Yangon is a diverse city with different religions and cultures. Sri Kali is a good illustration to the city's history. This Hindu temple is the typical Tamil-style institution for the local Indian community. The facade is interesting.
