Amazing sanctuary with a well-taken animals and friendly caregivers with a sincere love for nature. Our guide Bianca was amazingly empathetic and generously shared stories about animals in sanctuary. Great place, great caring people and overall great experience

The Norton Museum was an experience my 19 and 21 year old children wanted to experience while on vacation in West Palm Beach. They love immersing themselves in art from around the world and various time periods. The Norton did not disappoint. The expansive first level consisted of a wide variety of time periods like the Renaissance to world renown artist like Picasso. It is always intriguing for me to read about each painting and the meaning behind them.

All our our favorite piece collectively at the Norton and any museum to date for that matter was Purity. A white Iranian onyx sculpture by Barry X Ball. It was unlike anything we have ever seen as we stared in awe of its beauty. We each had our own second liking as well. For me it was the painting by Mark Tansey called Triumph over Mastery II. The longer I stared at it, the more I saw. It was difficult for me to walk away and I actually went back again to to take it all in one more time before leaving. The Colossal Buddha Head dating back to circa 673-705 was an intriguing artifact that also grabbed my eye especially from that era. I collect buddha heads to this was indeed a delight for me to see.

The museum consists of three floors. It took us about 2.5 hours to go through the museum but keep in mind I read about most of the pieces in there so it took me a little longer. I want to also mention that I thought it was so cool walking up to the museum to see the art in front. My kids didn't know what the art piece was so I explained it to them...guess I dated myself a little bit. I will not say what it is so you can guess if you don't know either but will post a picture.

There is a parking lot across the street where you can park all day for $5.00. Adults are $18.00 for admission and students are $5.00 (must show student ID). Healthcare, Military and first responders are free, again with ID. I forgot mind because I was on vacation and didn't think I would need it so I paid full price.

Overall it was a great museum and would highly recommend it.

Beat the heat and go early. Better yet, bring swimwear and cool off in the splash pad! We enjoyed the cafe to cool off also. The Kids loved seeing all the animals. Kids favorites: koala munching on eucalyptus, black bear taking a dip in the pool, flamingos standing on one foot, alligators disguised as logs in a swamp, even a white gator, oxilots, the otters playing & so much more! The panther was sleeping so not much to see there. Who knew porcupines could get that BIG?! Lots to see and a playground area for kids with a carousel (for a fee).

The downtown area is really lively and feels very safe with a moderate police presence. Loads of bars and restaurants and walking streets.

Small place with interesting info. Take the free tour and support or Manatees. You are only there for about an hour and if you go in cool weather you will see lots of manatees.

Because of the design, it is normally never too windy to kayak on week-ends. One hour will get you around the whole lake, with gorgeous golf course greens surrounding the area.

The gardens were fantastic. Super easy to follow the path to each place where blooming or blooded flora was. The pond with Koi and the waterfall was beautiful. The Koi are huge. Ducks are very friendly waiting to be fed. The turtles are use to being fed as well. We saw tons of butterflies today. The only let down was the front of the building. From the street it’s unappealing. The gift shop was fantastic too..and as we left someone was playing the flute. Hidden gem.

The Ann Norton Sculpture gardens were first developed in 1977. They also hold events in the area. It’s covered in bushes and trees. Excellent.

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket is a Sunday event that offers so many different booths featuring fish, juices, olive oil, breads, pastries, vegetables and so much more. This a Farmers Market but to the highest level.

We were a small group of women and arranged for a docent in advance of our visit. The gardens are beautiful and the docent was terrific! Early morning of later after noon is best for photography.

We had a great time here. Awesome aquarium stocked with beautiful tropical fish and live sea coral. Many interactive activities and brain teasing puzzles for little and big kids alike. Geared towards little tykes but that doesn’t mean you or your teens won’t learn a thing or two. Expect to spend at least 3 hours here. I would rate this a 4.5 because unfortunately a few of the interactive displays were broken or in need of attention.

A very nice venue to see a spring training game. Parking is indeed a rather long walk. Tickets are too expensive but they gotta pay those big MLB salaries of course. Bathrooms are clean, food is reasonably good but (of course) overpriced, and sunblock dispensaries are convenient and free. Since games usually are not sell outs, to save some money and get better seats consider goin through Ticketmaster. We got $60 seats for $30 bucks plus a small fee on game day that were much better than those offered through the stadium website.
