Our fifth trip to McCarthys. Always a great experience. Alexis was our guide today. She’s very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this experience.

The Norton Museum was an experience my 19 and 21 year old children wanted to experience while on vacation in West Palm Beach. They love immersing themselves in art from around the world and various time periods. The Norton did not disappoint. The expansive first level consisted of a wide variety of time periods like the Renaissance to world renown artist like Picasso. It is always intriguing for me to read about each painting and the meaning behind them.

All our our favorite piece collectively at the Norton and any museum to date for that matter was Purity. A white Iranian onyx sculpture by Barry X Ball. It was unlike anything we have ever seen as we stared in awe of its beauty. We each had our own second liking as well. For me it was the painting by Mark Tansey called Triumph over Mastery II. The longer I stared at it, the more I saw. It was difficult for me to walk away and I actually went back again to to take it all in one more time before leaving. The Colossal Buddha Head dating back to circa 673-705 was an intriguing artifact that also grabbed my eye especially from that era. I collect buddha heads to this was indeed a delight for me to see.

The museum consists of three floors. It took us about 2.5 hours to go through the museum but keep in mind I read about most of the pieces in there so it took me a little longer. I want to also mention that I thought it was so cool walking up to the museum to see the art in front. My kids didn't know what the art piece was so I explained it to them...guess I dated myself a little bit. I will not say what it is so you can guess if you don't know either but will post a picture.

There is a parking lot across the street where you can park all day for $5.00. Adults are $18.00 for admission and students are $5.00 (must show student ID). Healthcare, Military and first responders are free, again with ID. I forgot mind because I was on vacation and didn't think I would need it so I paid full price.

Overall it was a great museum and would highly recommend ent it.

What an absolute JOY finding this place! Beautifully laid out. Lovey displays. Knowledgeable & polite staff. AND the manatees!! We were so blessed to see a mama manatee and her pup! Totally made our day!

Once you enter this zoo, you will be meet with a splash pad and small vendors. Under three arches there are different sections for animals based on where they live. Each animal has a beautiful exhibit and they seem well taken care of!

This is a rich folk kind of place to visit. The kitchen store was cool. Most of the shops were way out of our financial status. There was some good live music. The bubbles were cool. Parking was $7.50.

We went because we wanted to eat at the Cheesecake Factory

Kind of a one in done thing.

I wish I knew the area better? Parking cost and is limited to two hours. We found a neat antique row area that was more upscale antiques.

Beach parking cost and we could not find any beach access with free parking.

The highlight was we stumbled across President Trumps house with lots of police and FBI around. We were just driving down the beach area looking at all the mansions and there it was.

West Palm isn’t touristy like Daytona.

This 40 years old garden is like a tropical oasis located in the city of West Palm Beach, but the only noise that will remind you of that is the planes landing in the adjacent airport.

It’s a vast garden (16 acres), so you can easily spend a few hours in there. Among all the plants and vegetation (all of them labeled with their names) there are also an herbs’ garden, a “zen” area, a pond with fish and turtles that you can feed (you purchase the bag of food for $1 at the entrance), and a nursery that sells plants.

It’s a great place to go to relax (even during the hot summer), and a perfect one for photography.

The second Saturday of the month, Palm Beach Residents enter for free: we will surely take advantage of that above all during the winter, and we will also keep an eye on the special event, activities and exhibits that the garden offers from time to time.

There are great deals to be found here! I was on vacation, so I could not buy too much stuff, but I did get a pair of shoes and some shorts. I really liked the layout of the outlets and the selection.

We have been coming here on a regular basis ever since we moved in the area over 20 years ago, and it will never bore us!

The variety of amenities in this park is astonishing to say the least.
The only thing you won’t find here is a basketball court, but other than that I don’t think you can ask for more activities to be offered.

There is an equestrian center, a public golf course, baseball fields, soccer fields (which you can’t use without a permit though: the Village Park Athletics Complex in Wellington is a better choice for soccer play), tennis fields including now several pickle ball fields (always crowded) and a volleyball field on grass.

There is also a BMX track, a water ski lake, a Shark Park on a separate lake (where you can enjoy cable watersports) and a place where you can kayak/canoe (you can bring your own or rent the equipment there).

You can also just walk, bike (which you can also rent), skate or play disc golf throughout the entire park. Or you can enjoy and exercise on the 1 mile trail with 20 stations. If that’s not enough options for walking, you can visit the nature center!

In some parts you can also fish, and both your dogs and kids have their own playgrounds!
There are also many picnic shelters and pavilions throughout the park, and the best part: there is no entrance fee!!

We consider ourselves very lucky to live close to this HUGE and beautiful park!

Bounty of restaurants to choose from in Downtown West Palm. Downfall is obvious: the parking. And there is a fee. Wish Clematis had at least a few boutique clothing stores, but we go to City Place for that anyway so no biggie. Overall, we always make it a nice, enjoyable outing when visiting there.

Caught the final spring training game between the Astros and Nationals. Bought $15 seats out in Right field lawn and had an awesome time. So close to the players, walked out with 3 baseballs for the kids. Staff super friendly and the game was awesome. Best part might have been the golf cart rides from the parking lots up to the gates and back.

I had seen some but reviews mainly complaining about some attractions being closed due to the park being understaffed. It was my daughter’s birthday and I decided to go with my family.
We went on a Saturday and we had a very good experience. My kids enjoyed it, we were able to ride all the attractions we wanted. There were some long lines, but overall we had a good time.

Had a really nice walk around this nature preserve. The walk is mostly on a wooden walkway, which was nice as you went thru swamps. I didn’t see much wildlife, probably we were walking too fast and it was mid-day. They did have a “Wanted wild boar” and explained why and how they got there and they were 250 lbs.. but no number to call if I found it.. (invasive species) so glad I didn’t see any. I did see a few of the area birds. Great to be able to see the grasslands, swamps and wooded areas. Yes, it’s FREE.

This was my first visit and I would highly recommend it if you enjoy looking at tropical gardens and large sculptures. Special piece of West Palm history. I visited during the Bradley Theodore exhibit which was enjoyable. Great activity on a beautiful day.

Great venue in beautiful West Palm. We really enjoyed the show that we booked.

My Mother is Italian, My Father is Jewish and I am in Therapy.

We were in the smaller theater which has cheap looking and cheap feeling seats. It is a nice enough theater but for the price, put in some nice theater style seating.

It is also the dated side.

The large theater looks beautiful and we can't wait to go back next week to see another show.
