- JGJSSmithtown, NY4 contributionsThe staff at the Florida Oceanographic Center were super friendly, helpful and knowledgable. We visited the cnter with our family on a Sunday from 1:30-4PM. It took us about 2.5 hours to tour the museum and go to the three different presentations that ran during that time (stingray touch tank, marine life feeding and the sea turtle class). Learned a great deal about enviornmental issues and solutions. Today my daughter and I on a sentimental visit to Stuart spend a couple of hours at the Elliot Museum. It was FANTASTIC! A varied exhibit with lots of Stuart area history too. The boardwalk is along the water, in good repair, and away from any vehicular traffic. Unfortunately we chose a very hot day, so our walk was somewhat limited. - Jan P10 contributionsThis beach is the best! It’s perfect for anyone - families, small children, for anyone who likes sun, sand and water! I’ve found some beautiful sea shells there that are worth collecting. It’s got a huge area with shallow water perfect for the little ones. It is a clean beach. Lifeguards are attentive. The place has lots of room inside by the bar and a nice outdoor seating area.It was fun to walk around and see the vegetables growing and of course the chickens.We each had a glass of wine and a different pizza. We all agreed the mushroom pizza was the best although they were all good.If I had any complaint it would be that they could have an expanded happy hour menu. - Katelouise74Delray Beach, FL30 contributionsWe went out for the Sunset Sail on the Resolute this past weekend for my husband’s birthday. I just wanted something small, relaxing and intimate - not a big party cruise, and this was the perfect selection. With a maximum of 12 passengers (9 on our particular sailing), and the opportunity to take our own refreshments (we packed a charcuterie board and wine), we had a wonderful evening with Captain Fred and Lenny as we sailed the river at sunset. Both Fred and Lenny were welcoming and full of knowledge about the area. We saw a bunch of turtles and 2 alligators and some gorgeous birds.
