The staff at the Florida Oceanographic Center were super friendly, helpful and knowledgable. We visited the cnter with our family on a Sunday from 1:30-4PM. It took us about 2.5 hours to tour the museum and go to the three different presentations that ran during that time (stingray touch tank, marine life feeding and the sea turtle class). Learned a great deal about enviornmental issues and solutions. Make sure you go to the third floor of the museum as the views are amazing.

This is a small (9 RV sites) Campground on the Saint Lucie Canal (the Panama Canal of Florida). The level cement pads are long enough and wide enough to be comfortable, but somewhat close together - they are off asphalt and access roads - they also provide a covered picnic table. The convenient hookups (water & electric) are modern and functioned properly. There are also 3 tent sites, and 8 boat slips with power & water. No included WiFi, no cable tv, but plenty of OTA stations and a big sky for satellite - Verizon cell service is good. The bathhouse is predictably small, but clean and adequate for the size of the park. There is plenty of shopping in the area, and it is close to I 95 and the Turnpike - the town of Stuart is close by. It would be nice to have a sewer connection, but that is not a dealbreaker - two weeks in n 30 days is the maximum stay.

Have stayed here twice. Nice campground. Clean and spacious. Have been told for two years that the sites were going to full hook up. Hasn’t happened yet. Wondering when?

A great place for a quiet stroll on sugar sand. Dogs (leashed) are welcome. There is water and poop bags for them. The trail meanders through native vegetation and you can spend anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. There is a bike path also.
