What travelers are saying
- Scott NSeven Points, TX27 contributionsWe had a day with nothing planned. Looked around the area and found this gem. What an exciting and educational afternoon. We learned a lot about the Florida’s coastal ecosystems. The walk through the mangroves provided excellent views and smells. We saw fish, birds and even a raccoon. Their is something for everyone!Written 14 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- gwc2020Stuart, FL17 contributionsWhat a cool experience! You can walk right up to the locks and watch the boats go through. We saw all sizes of boats enter. Barges to small fishing boats. Then went to the visitor center. They have lots of exhibits about the history of the locks and local flora and fauna.Written 19 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lyddybearManassas, VA9 contributionsHave stayed here twice. Nice campground. Clean and spacious. Have been told for two years that the sites were going to full hook up. Hasn’t happened yet. Wondering when?Written 6 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paul M35 contributionsA great place for a quiet stroll on sugar sand. Dogs (leashed) are welcome. There is water and poop bags for them. The trail meanders through native vegetation and you can spend anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. There is a bike path also.Written 6 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
