We enjoyed our visit very much although parking was a challenge as the number of visitors was reportedly larger than usual although we were told by the person who answered the phone that it was somewhat quiet. The exhibits are well done but the signage can be difficult to see in the darker areas. We were told that they are building a new aquarium to open next year. There is a diner with limited menu items on the premises.

What a great experience touring the site. All native vegetation and history. Easy walking trails and the Clyde Butcher nature photos were a plus. So peaceful.

The Ca d"Zan is a gorgeous structure and property. The interior is a little "over the top" if you had to live there, but wonderful as a museum. Don't miss the other museums at this local.

Big state park, diverse habitats: floodplains, forests, lakes. Alligators galore. Seasonally, lots of birds. The nature walk trail was beautiful, recomended. The 2 hour boat ride was lovely and there's chances to see more birds. Many trails in the park and some are great for bikes.

Looking for a beachfront vacation on the Gulf Coast of Florida and chose “The Lido Beach Resort Sarasota”, it’s exactly what we’d hoped for and more. Beautiful, pristine property, beautiful room with an ocean view, gorgeous sunsets. The staff are more than hospitable, they smile and make it a point to know your name. The Tiki Bar is awesome from the service, food and friendly atmosphere! We’ll be back, thank you so much for our long overdue Florida vacation!

BEST MUSEUM EVER! I have been to many museums, including the famous ones in New York and a few in Italy, and this has got to be my absolute favorite. Totally unpretentious and unstuffy, just fun and joyful. We were lucky enough to listen to Marietta (Mary) Lee herself give a brief talk about how the museum came to be - she is an absolute delight! Do yourself a favor and visit this museum if you’re anywhere near Sarasota. It’s right near the Ringling Museum and grounds. Free of charge ($10 donation recommended - worth every penny), and only open Thursday through Saturday from 1-4. Very highly recommended!

Pay for the convenience. Our best beach day. The sand is unbeatable from Carolina beaches to California. We paid $8/hr to park in the village but it was worth it. Easy and plenty of spots at 10am. We hopped on to beach at access #5. Then walked up to the village for lunch, back to the beach, repeat. Waves were so-so for boogie boards and quite a bit of seaweed, but have I mentioned the sand? 99%quartz.

I think after our 4 month stay, I would choose this as my favorite beach in the Sarasota area. I love most of them but this one is my favorite bc, parking is free and easy. Bathrooms and showers are clean and easily accessible. Walk isn’t bad to many different spots depending on what you’re up for. Access to open gulf, somewhat sheltered bay and very sheltered bay depending on wind.

Fishing has been the best for us here and lots of options for spots. Critters are here; my kids love critters(we found the biggest hermit crab I’ve ever seen), as well as many other crabs. Always nice people to talk to, and probably my favorite part is this has always been less crowded.

Just a beautiful place to spend a day, a few hours or a sunset. This is a place my family will remember!

Enjoyed the Birds play Detroit at this stadium. The ushers and other staff were very friendly and helpful.
Parking is confusing - don’t use google maps directions. Official parking is in a grassed lot on 12th street across from the stadium. Ignore google’s
directions to go to 10th, as the neighborhood has barricaded a lot of the neighborhood streets, and you will have to go a mile or two out of the way to get back to 12th.
The stadium concessions, parking and so on are card-only, no cash.
There is a Boogs barbecue by the picnic tables just past the outfield, which was founded by Boog Powell, who was part of the great Orioles teams in the late 60’s/early 70’s.
