The homestead was fun to walk through. It is small, but interesting and informative about the period. It doesn’t take long to wlak through, but worth the stop if you in the area.

Stopped only for a few minutes to check out the beach. Nice spot to swim and have a picnic. People were also fishing. Restrooms and shaded tables.

Some of Florida's best mud holes and ATV trails..... The Spring Sling (Dysfunctional Family Reunion) had some of the best Freestyling I have ever seen. The park is well managed and there is plenty of room for camping.

Dedicated members work hard to keep Taylor County's and Florida's history and their families's heritage alive and current educating young and old. The building is undergoing renovation. Meetings are well attended and informative.

I spent 4 days vacationing at Keaton Beach scalloping. The boat ramp was a very good place to launch my boat. There was plenty of parking for the truck and trailer, the fee was $5.00 per day to use. However, I found out you can buy a yearly pass for $20.00 to access the ramp. I did not pursue this because I was half-way through our vacation. There are two ramps to launch your boat and the channel is well marked to access the Gulf. It does become crowded during the weekend so plan accordingly.

My daughter and I spent almost a hour here. I could have stayed longer. Loved all the books! My daughter loved the tie-dye, and all the funny sayings on the stickers and buttons. Polly, the owner, was very friendly, laidback and knowledgeable and her little dog was super cute. If ever in the area again, We will definitely be back.
