You can’t go in at the moment, but it is worth admiring the architecture from the outside (it really stands out amongst the shiny new skyscrapers) and reflecting on its place in history, welcoming Cuban people.

The Miami tower is this city's iconic skyscraper built in a semicircular shape. It's the edifice upon which you easily recognize the Miami skyline, just like the Empire State in NY.
During the day its blue glass panels shine on Florida sun, while at night it's illuminated with changing colors what's a very nice scene.
During my previous visit 12y ago it was a Bank of America tower, while this time I didn't see that sign. Neither I saw the possibility to access the top floor, which would be a nice tourist attraction, as it's one of the highest bldgs in Miami.

Prior to March 2023, the last time I was in Miami, the church doors were closed and I could not enter. This time was different. We were late getting there for 5:15pm evening Mass. But better late than never. The Mass was being held in the side chapel, so the lights to the main sanctuary were mostly off. I therefore did not get the best picutres of the interior. Still, it nis a beautiful cathedral that gives love to Blessed Virgin Mother Mary, the Mother of Jesus, who is The Greatest Woman who Ever Lived. I was truly blessed to have finally gotten to see the inside of this beautiful Catholic cathedral.

This complex was designed by the late architect Phillip Johnson. It is home to the History Miami museum and to the main branch of the public library. The library displays works by artists Purvis Young and Serge Toussaint, among others. History Miami is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays but otherwise is worth visiting, especially with a guided tour on the weekend.

Due to the downtown location, there are a fair number of homeless people around but there also is a fair amount of security so it does not feel unsafe during the day. Just use your street sense.

There are some good small restaurants within walking distance; see reviews on Trip Advisor.

Note that the center NO LONGER houses the Miami Art Museum, which morphed into the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and moved to a waterfront location.
