The botanical grounds and perfectly preserved homes are well worth the visit. You can take your time and do a guided tour but if pressed you can also self guide with a virtual tour, approx 60-75 minutes.
This is a very interesting time of the Fords, Edisons, Firestones, et al as they wintered in the Ft Myers area. The tour focuses on them and their friends as they sported, collaborated and experimented, plus much more about their lives and careers.
Multi acre botanical grounds are beautiful on the river.

The walkway through the woods that were filled with water kept us high and dry, but the wildlife would be wet. The stroller rolled easily over the more than a mile route and we made every pit stop to look for wildlife. We saw an alligator at one stop. The loop minimizes the feeling of more people, as you continue in the same direction. Last year we saw an alligator snake and an owl. It was about 90 minutes.

We love Manatee Park but it is always a beautiful walk and usually we see many manatees. This time the water was murky so we didn’t see as many, but it is still such a nice place to relax and stroll around the grounds. $5 a day to park. Manatee Park itself is free. They offer kayak rental if you are interested and they also have the nicest little gift shop. I highly recommend a visit!

Several people recommended this park as a good place to sight birds and observe nature.

So while my husband ran some errands nearby; I did a short bird walk.

In less than an hour; I saw 15 species of birds, a few Green Iguana and numerous flowering trees and bushes.

The park is kept very clean, people were polite and friendly and as a woman walking alone; I had no apprehensions.

Next time when I go back I will allow at least 2 hours to explore. It's worth it.

Fenway South did not disappoint. Loved sitting on the “Little” Green Monster and catching the game from a slightly different view. Plenty of food options at the stadium and pregame events leading up to the game. Lots of statues and photo ops. Definitely one of the better spring training facilities in Florida. Team store was grossly overpriced; some hats were $60 (could get for $45 on Fanatics for same hat before any discounts applied). Great views throughout the stadium and plenty to see and explore during your visit.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. It was kind of busy, but not too bad really. We were able to get a parking spot. You can pay from your phone- it was $2 per hour which I felt was reasonable. We went at low tide and I would definitely recommend going at that time because we were able to wade out super far into the water and there were lots of tide pools and sandbars to explore. The water was pretty clear and shallow for a long way out. I saw lots of small horseshoe crabs and found some neat shells too. I would just make sure to go at low tide. It would be a wonderful beach to visit with small children because the waves were so small and the water was shallow.

Locals suggested that I should visit for the restaurants and cool shops. Today there was a festival and a band in the park which was quite good. I mainly enjoyed walking and the atmosphere along with the restaurants. A neat place to spend an afternoon or evening exploring.

Took this drive based on other recommendations. But I recommend going down some of the side roads to see the beautiful homes. Loved the palm trees lining the drive.

This is the second biggest flea market I've been to. It has a very large selection of different store types but has a lot of the same low expectations dollar store shops. Will find some good craft types as well as the cheesy skin care vendors. You can definitely spend a few hours or more easily. I have been twice and have yet to see the entire market.

Super adorable stadium for the Minnesota Twins baseball team spring training facility. Clean and easy to walk around. Great views of the field from anywhere in the stadium. Convenient parking available too!

As ten year subscribers I am so pleased to say that the 3 shows we have seen this fall are simply the best. The production values are better than ever across the board. This is a company that has their act together and delivers a quality experience consistently.

This science and history museum has all the makings of a great museum but several exhibits were not working. I enjoyed the Seminole history exhibit and the tortoises. The sting ray tank is a great interactive experience. I like that native Florida plants are included.
The tribute to 911 World Trade Center attacks includes a chunk of the foundation from the World Trade Center, worth a visit, especially as it is in front prior to paying admission.
I feel that the price is slightly high considering that several exhibits are not working.
    Annual memberships available.
