We had several hours between when our cruise ended and our flights departed, so we visited Flamingo Gardens. The gardens themselves are beautifully kept and very tranquil. The blooming orchids were lovely. The animals were fun, the gift shop had excellent selections, and the food was fairly reasonably priced (loved the pickles on my cheeseburger). Special highlights were Olivia doing the nature show as she is a natural, warm, funny, and genuine speaker, and Carol who conducted our train tour. What an awesome hidden gem!

I didn’t know this at the time, but they will store cruise ship luggage while you visit. This would’ve saved the cost of storing my bags at the airport for those few hours. Our cruise line should’ve offered this as a post-cruise tour option.

We had a few extra hours in Fort Lauderdale after a cruise. This was an excellent way to spend our time on a beautiful spring day.

What a destination experience! Beautiful plants and nursery. Really enjoyed coffee and empanada at the cafe. Visited from N.C. I enjoyed seeing all the plants that thrive for that zone.

Hill in Florida! Sure it was manmade, but it is a great park, lot's of hikers. You get a view and there is a model airplane airstrip at the top of the hill.

We have been to other shows recently and this one is the best. Very informative and entertaining. The price is reasonable and the kids should enjoy it.

There’s a lot to see at this property which includes the 100 year old schoolhouse and two early 20th century houses that have been moved to the site.

Be sure to call in advance and make sure there is someone available to give you a tour.

We are from up north who have each been to several rodeos. This was a champion series and we went to the first night only. There was a laid back feeling, everyone said hello or howdy. I liked that the people were of various backgrounds and all seemed equally friendly. Very clean restroom, big plus! The announcements were very loud and it was hard to know what was being said. If you are a regular rodeo-goer and you know a lot about it, give it an extra star because none of the seats are far. Price seemed fair.

What an amazing find. I couldn't believe we were able to walk the grounds and tour the museum for free. If you like nature this is the place to go. The boardwalk through the wetlands is especially beautiful. Learned a lot about the area and the indigenous people of South Florida. Well done hands on exhibits to keep children and adults interested.

This building is beautiful! Such stark contrast to the surrounding area which was full of resorts and shopping center. Pleasant place to visit.

We visited this park for the first time today. It is a gigantic lake, which is currently closed. You can, however, walk on a dirt, tree lined, path around its entirety. It makes for a cool, pleasant hike. They have a few picnic tables scattered along the path. I think I saw 4 total. There are a lot of downed trees, so you can rough it out and rest on a log when you get tired. Additionally, you can walk with a blanket and lie out for a bit. Dogs on leash are allowed. Thankfully, I did not see any dog nuggets. Go and enjoy a day at the lake. Pack a picnic lunch and carry your poles. I was told you can catch large-mouth bass.
