We shopped in a variety of stores here but I didn’t take pictures of thats. What i cane to talk about is the food from the Amazonia Barbecue Food Truck. Omg the barbecue pork ribs was delicious!!!! Along with the fried ripe plantains with a side of salad. My sister got the pork kebabs with green plantains and that was also delicious. I would definitely recommend. We went during the week so a lot of persons weren’t there. The service was okay. We had to wait while they prepared our food so we sat near by and when it was ready they brought it over to us. Definitely would recommend this food truck!

This winery is in a beautiful setting. There is a patio with great views and tables throughout the grounds. THe wine tasting was fun with good service, A good selection of nice tasting wines.

The restaurant looked nice with an interesting menu - did not have dinner here as we had made other plans but will be back for the wines and dinner.

One of the best libraries on the shoreline. Great activities for l ages as well as excellent programs for kids and adults.

We visit often and the kids ask to go to the library. We run into other friends and they play games, do crafts and have lots of books to choose from.

They have passport services as well as access to many museum, zoo and aquarium passes available for use as well.

One of out favorite places to go in town.

This marina is just great, easy location with a fantastic restaurant in the parking lot, Rocky’s Aqua. The staff is very friendly, they have an awesome marina store, fully stocked with marine items and you can custom order for your boat needs. Also George and Peggy run the brokerage department and they are the best in the area with great knowledge about boats, they helped us on the process of buying our boat. I truly recommend George and Peggy if you want to purchase or sale your boat.

Yep, $50-$75 for parking depending on day of week (this is to discourage use by non-residents). Highly suggest going 5 mins down the road to Hammonasset State Park which is much bigger. We didn’t pay to park but instead went at sunset (parking attendants leave after hours) with a picnic. It’s a small, well maintained beach and at low tide you can walk out a hundred yards without getting your knees wet but definitely not worth the high fees during the day.
