Great tasting room with a super friendly staff and lots of great wines to taste. Their wine club is a good value with deliveries twice at year and the option to select red, white dessert or a mix. If you come in from the east on Hwy 46 make this the first winery you stop at!

The view and ambiance was wonderful. We had a lovely table overlooking the valley. It reminded us of northern Tuscany. The wine was delicious. We had a wonderful lunch and visit. We purchased several bottles to bring home. I was interested in the planting of the vines and our hostess brought over the assistant winemaker. Which was so lovely. I can see why this winery continuous to gain acclaim. Highly recommend a visit here on a trip to Paso!

Beautiful setting above the vineyard, great wines and great people. Dog friendly and VERY military friendly. Be prepared to leave with a collection of wines, as it is hard to decide on what to take...
Tamara was a doll and was very attentive.

If you want to go to a winery in California, this is one you should not miss. You must make reservation. I went with a group and we had a wonderful time!! Make sure you take pictures under the DAOU Life is Beautiful. We were seated and the view are outstanding. Our sommelier was excellent in explaining the different wines. The whole experience was outstanding. We stayed there 2-3 hours.

Great place if you like learning about our country's history. Tons of interesting things to see here in addition to all the vintage and more modern airplanes and military hardware. The docents are wonderful. It is just a mile or two off Hwy. 46 East and well worth the trip. I look forward to my next trip to Paso Robles just to see what additions have been made, because they are always improving the place.

This is my wife's "go to" wine! She loves a reasonably priced bottle of cabernet! So - we simply had to go to the winery for a tasting. The staff was so very accommodating (I had reserved inside seating since it was quite cool in the area, but the staff relocated us outside as we requested with hesitation). The outside seating is relatively private for each group through the use of soft-scape materials (i.e. - shrubs, etc.)
However, we were, a bit, "put off" by the sommelier - who informed us she didn't like wine. But - she was very attentive to our needs, which we appreciated.
Would recommend a visit most definitely.

This winery had good food, great atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious wines. Enjoyed our stop thoroughly. They had a nice little chef’s garden to walk through and I enjoyed that they were practicing sustainability. I did not try every wine but everything I tried was good and I could easily drink a glass of anything I sampled. My favorite was the blend in the tasting. If you like Grenache their Grenache was good, I don’t normally like it but theirs was good so I assume it was a good one compared to others. I’m generally picky about white wines, their Sauvignon Blanc was good. Not a fan of the other white I tried though, a bit too sweet for my preference.

We actually went to the tasting room in downtown Paso Robles because they’re open a little later. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. The wines here are amazing, much better than what we can buy in grocery stores!

Our first time visiting and so glad we came. Staff super friendly and very knowledgeable. The grounds were amazing and the views were incredible to sit and enjoy. Very good selection of wine and we enjoyed every sip.

The wine tasting was excellent - we were driving through Paso Robles and only had time for one winery stop along the way and we were very glad we chose Ecluse. We ended up bringing some bottles back with us all the way to Fiji! The wine was lovely but the highlight was really speaking with the team, including the owner, and hearing how passionate they are about wine.

The wines are excellent. The cheese board is huge and has great variety. The staff is wonderful. Visit in the fall to see the colors in the vineyards.

We loved Castoro! January is off season for the area and we had the place to ourselves for almost 90 minutes. Amy, our host was awesome, she was knowledgeable about the wines and had a good sense of when to hang with us and when to leave us alone. The grounds were beautiful and I can imagine in better weather, the disc golf and music would add to the experience. Primarily reds but to my delight, there was a very tasty Sauv Blanc and a couple of white blends that were delicious. Many Italian grape varietals blended in different combinations...interesting. When you're going to PR and have to decide from the myriad of wineries, I'd suggest you try Castoro, especially if you aren't going at peak season and you can get Amy as your host.

The 8 of us had a wonderful time at Oso Libre. It's a beautiful farm and was very different than all of our other, more modern winery stops. We loved all of the reds and wish we had booked the elevated experience in advance, but loved what we had for the regular tasting. They have a great price point and we loved the reds as much as all the other places we stopped! I would highly recommend this as a stop to give some contrast to the other wineries in the area. This was one of our favorite stops!

The drive to this winery was down a pleasant country road. The seating was on a large patio overlooking the countryside and vineyards. Many people were there enjoying lunch and sampling wine. We had a very attentive server, tasted a few wines, and bought a couple of bottles. All in all it was a pleasant experience.
